Wait, where did fans say they hate it???

All I recall seeing is that some fans pointed out that if this is supposed to be some kind of unlockable homage to the original Dante that he should have more than a change in hair color.

Dante's original clothes and apparel would be a nice touch.


But if they aren't aiming for something like that (as in paying homage to the original) than I have no problem with this costume.

No. I mean at this other forum one of my friends go to. (I can't be bothered with it) Apparently some people there hate the fact that new Dante has old Dante's white hair and call him a poser for having it.

Well, are they saying that even if Dante had the same looks, and his personality was changed for the reboot, the fans will be just as crazy for 2years as this?
It seems a very pitiful excuse to me. Since Dante's personality never was the same.

The hair looks like they combined DMC Dantes and Vergils hair to me. Dantes hair in front and Vergils spiked hair in back.

Am I the only one who thinks the hair looks terrible, at least in that shot? It's like he got girly blonde locks like that Prince Charming guy from Shrek. I wouldn't be surprised if Dante goes and does this in the game:

I knowed that is something wrong then that photo that supposed to be alt. costume was showed. Now Im thinking that devs propably still making alt. costumes so for now new photos not showed up.

Emo? Not so much. But more like a goth kid wanting to stand out cause he's "lonely and has no friends." . But year black hair suits this Dante better^_^

Umm...sadly the truth is if you have grey/white hair in the real world, you will look darn OLD no matter what.
Even if you cosplay your noggin will look like over 60 or something.

Remember DmC had a essence of reality in it than the original series.

I agree a little but not entirely. It is trying to capture an essence of reality and true if you have white hair it may get you mistakened on a first glance for being older than your years. But I think Dante's hair is going to turn white anyway.

If Dante's hair does turn completely white I welcome it. I just don't welcome that funny mop wig as his real hairdo :lol: let him keep it the way it is.

It's not really emo but just a bit too long for me. It's not like long hair is bad, but it looks odd on this Dante for me since I've been so use to him having shorter hair.

It'd be cool to have the original beat up look...but what if it was like Arkham City, and we'll have a beat up Dante by the end of the game?
And on the "alternate costume"...no. Just...no. I never cared about reverting back to the white hair, but the look here just doesn't look right...
