If you can't have access to the internet nowadays you are probably used to missing on a lot of stuff in the games you play anyway. Stop acting as if Capcom is some kind of evil company. The thing is FREE.

Free or not, I'm still against DLC. I'm against most downloadable things, period. It's cuts some people off. For example, I had to wait to get Persona 4 Golden because I couldn't download it due to... well, reasons (I don't want to get into it). So, that really got my blood boiling.

If this keeps happening, I'm just going to stop buying games altogether -- um, unless Darksiders III comes out or something...:/

Besides, I still have Persona 3 Portable and Persona 4 Golden. Those will keep me busy for a good, long while. And maybe even after that. I honestly don't think I need to buy anything else.

Other than DmC, I don't see a single other game I would want to buy. No, not MGR. I like ninjas, but it's still not up to my tastes.

Besides, people keep treating it as if it's that much better than DmC. I'm boycotting it out of protest, anyway.

...your PS3 doesn't have internet?

I can understand with the Xbox...it doesn't have wi-fi built into the system.

But seriously, I've seen hobos using computers and wi-fi. I'm sure you can go to a friends place and download it.

I have it now. I just sympathize with those that don't. It's as if you don't get a full gaming experience anymore without it.

Yes. It's all too common for games, nowadays. I honestly don't think I'm going to get any new products because of this. I'm tired of being tethered to the system.

It depends on the location. If you're stuck out in the middle of nowhere, you have to put up with either no internet, or a connection that's exceedingly slow.

That is pretty true. Where I live, the connection is pretty useless (ie. slow).

I will admit that this really sucks for people without the internet connection, but it does show that Capcom is trying by making it free.

They should try harder by holding back the release date so that it comes with the disc.

Fine. I'm being unreasonable. I don't care. That's what they did back in the day. Just hold off on the release date. You youngins don't know nothing. We had it rough. And we liked it. Get off my lawn!

Overall, patches and DLC's don't bother me... what bothers me is when studio's abuse them.
Rarely did a PS2 game ever have a game breaking bug or glitch... now though, it's so often when a new game has a serious bug or glitch that has to be patched to fix. I just feel like studio's are becoming more lazy when it comes to testing their games.... but I haven't done any research on this, so I may very well be wrong to say this.
As far as not being able to download DLC's, tough luck. The way I see it, most games have some sort of multiplayer aspect, and almost all games have at least one patch. Even without DLC's, you might be missing a good chunk of a game by not having internet.
Take Infamous 2... it's a single player game, but you can still make/download missions/obstacle courses that other players have made. There's a good amount of fun to be had with that, yet without internet... you can't.
Not to mention all the hundreds of games that rely on internet to be fun... like Modnation Racers. The whole game revolves around downloading custom user content.

I don't mean to be harsh about this, but it's just how it is. Without internet, you miss out on a lot of things. I would rather have DLC's rather than have a game get post-poned, or wait for some special edition to include extra modes. Like, I use to say I hated DLC's, but playing HD collections again of PS2 games, I realize just how amazing DLC's can be. It brings console gameplay closer to PC gameplay to some extent.

To be honest, I have internet at home and at college. But when I go to college, most people can't do anything in terms of gaming unless they want to get their systems configured since there's software that you have to install on your computer to get online. Normally the IT department is really lazy and it kinda takes them awhile to respond. So I can understand if there are users who are in college but cannot use their gaming systems online.

Nah, it was just the PS2 itself that was broken... :troll:

(I say this without exaggeration. Back then, when it first came out, a lot of people had to return their PS2s)

You don't know what it was like! I was there on the front lines!!

Dear God, yes. Moviebob's first episode of Overbytes talks about this. He said that back then, they didn't break simply because they only did one thing.

They played games.

Haha yeah I wished it was like the old days when you would buy a game and everything came with that game. But unfortunately companies use online resources to their advantage, sometimes its a good thing sometimes its not. At least in this case they are using to do something good instead of something bad such as making us pay for the DLC.

Yeah, I know. But it's stuff like this that makes me support piracy.

To paraphrase Ben Franklin:

"A violent revolution is inevitable when the powers that be make a peaceful one impossible... "

By the way, I think the only reason that they're not making us pay for it is because of the intense backlash that they've had with DLC with their past games. I'm just glad gamers aren't letting them get away with it (as much) anymore. :/
