DMC1 had the better soundtrack in terms of suspense, action, and mystery.

However DMC3 had batter music that gets you hyped.

As for favorite song; The classical Lock n' Load

I'm not a fan of Devil May Cry's music. To me, 95% of the time it sounds like the same generic, emotionless electric guitar music that you can apply anywhere. This song completely subverts that notion; no electric guitar, full instrumentation, and featuring tempo and melody that perfectly compliment the emotion felt in the battle with Dante and his own brother, Vergil. Here, it actually sounds like there's something grave at stake. You lose? Vergil takes over. You win? You kill your own brother. That's freaking deep for a game that featured a guy kicking demonic ass while eating pizza

The original Devil May Cry. The others might have the combat music but the original has the best ambience in all the land.

My favorite soudtrack was DMC1
DMC3 and 4 had a couple of good songs
but DMC 1 had alot better songs to me

DMC 1 has the BEST OST in the series in fact its the best in the series

DMC 3 leans more to the electronic side and DMC 4's theme is animeish
