Avatar crew on Ninja Theory’s LA video game shoot.

well i have downloaded both the demos to enslaved and heavenly sword and i'll admit i didn't like the gameplay, but see that's just the thing capcom is working on gameplay while ninja theory is working on story and art direction.
well then the game might turn out good but I still miss
my Dante :(

Even if James Cameron starts working on the game it's still gonna fail. Still the more capcom spends on this thing the more their losses are going to be the better chance we have for DMC5.

Not sure how I feel about this.
Does the game really need avatar level mo-cap?
This would be better news if we had a story trailer or was being used for the movie tie-in.

If this game fails then there will probably not be any Devil May Cry 5.
You're probably right and it's all D*C's fault and the people who decided that it should happen mostly Keiji Inafune! Anyway what i meant was the more damage they suffer from their little experiment the greater the chances are for DMC5 to be the next game.

No, the bigger the damage, the lesser the chances. Try to keep up.

Everything needs Avatar-level mo-cap. It's high-quality, it's so fluid it makes your eyes bleed. Why would you settle for something less, when you can have awesome without any impairments (that we know of...^^)?

because the more effort into the CG the less into the story
as clearly explained when you compare Aliens to Avatar
Aliens is 10x better

You're being awfully bitter about this, aren't you?

^^ not to mention it was NT who basically inspired the way mo cap is used in this day and age. At least thats what I thought the interview was about.

Ninja Theory's games (Heavenly Sword and Enslaved) really did have great acting and animations for their characters. It's the one thing about those games that stuck out to me and I cant wait to see it combined with the stylish action of DMC. >D
^ Pretty much this. I don't see it as desperate, NT have been using state of the art motion caption technology in both HS and Enslaved so I pretty much expected they'd do it for this. I wonder is Andy Serkis is working on this too?

yeah but for D*C2 and keep up with what?

yeah.

*gives you a hug*
Don't be bitter. I know it is hard to see one's favourite franchise changing to something else when you prefer to keep it the way it was. But instead, try remember it for what it was and appreciate what we already got. You don't have to like the changes, but you can accept that Devil May Cry won't be the same any longer and have fun with what you got. Devil May Cry have 4 good games with the original Dante, soon the 3 of them will return in an HD collection for us to have fun with. ^^

Nothing lasts forever.

Capcom won't continue DMC or DmC, if DmC fails. THAT's what you should keep up with. It wouldn't make any sense for Capcom as a company.
And you know this how? Ok they do have a history that shows that maybe they won't but we'll see when it happens.
