I was wondering for a while, if Dante and Vergil are Half-Demon and Half-Angel? Shouldn't they have an Angel Trigger? If there's such thing...

Vergil has an Angel Trigger (everyone calls it a devil trigger, but his look is more angelic, proving that, in the DmC universe, Angels are as capable of corruption as their demonic counterparts).

In that universe, humanity is treated as a concept. Dante spared Vergil, thus found his "humanity" even though he's not human -- that's why Rebellion and Yamato were considered to be "human" weapons.

Yamato didn't change its shape because Vergil didn't want it to; DmC Vergil is the kind of person who would use only Force Edge/Sparda and Yamato because that's his own personal choice.

Force Edge/Sparda would have made an appearance had DmC2 been made, as was confirmed by D0NN1E.

And since @D0NN1E (the director of Vergil's Downfall) confirmed that the name "????" on the "select costume" option screen officially meant "Nero Angelo" , it would make sense to have Vergil use an Angel Trigger --

-- Not a power up per se, but an official costume that changed his entire body due to the corrupting influence of his doppelganger angel trigger power that planted the seeds of doubt (and evil) into his mind.

"Black Angel" (Nero Angelo), or Corrupt Angel, in this case, would have been Vergil's final name.

So, while his angel trigger doppelganger changed him permanently, it also changed dante at the end of the game due to the fact that Dante had to make the final decision to fight his own brother.

Their inner power (Quicksilver & Doppelganger), along with their own inner anger and seeds of doubt, had changed them both permanently in the end.
