But you've got to remember the female characters in the past games were anime style. Maybe not as much with DMC1, but a lot in the later games. It's like Final Fantasy games, you have a colorful bunch of characters (
the smart one, the strong one, the hyper one, the shy one, the serious one). In real life those differences aren't as striking when you get a group of different people together, not straight away.
True.
Also DMC ladies often have common trade:
Lady is a strong independent woman
Trish is a strong independent woman
Lucia is a strong independent woman
Kyrie is....Bambi
Definitely true
Of course each have their own personalities, but in terms of power, Kat's not a fighter. She might help out by throwing a petrol bomb that we saw her do with the Demon Hunter boss, but we've not seen her whip out some guns or swords and start hacking/slashing and helping Dante out tin a way previous DMC female characters have.
Yeah she did. And she looked hot.
Also, Kat's supposed to come across like any average young woman you might met in person. If you were export Trish from the classic DMC and change it her to fit in DmC, it's likely she would come across a little less flirtatious and carry herself differently; just like how Dante's changed in the reboot.
I'm just saying you can't judge Kat's character entirely when she hasn't gotten barely as much screentime as Dante. For all we know there is charm to her character. But thus far from the info we've gotten, all we know is that she's shy, has trusting issues and has a naive outlook on the world. Alongside that, we got that brief info during the
mocap video about her killing her foster father and her being a runaway, which might make her past relatable in some form to Dante's.
She's not Bambi! :'(
