AAAANNNDDD this is why mom and pop shops suck

Yea mine too since I buy games on demand on xbox alot :( I don't wanna delete rock band 3 and I don't want to buy it because those disks are SO cheap I swear I went through 3 rockband 3s -_-

Digital age, buddy. It has it's ups and downs and this is one of the downs. Besides, you make it sound like a serious crime has been committed, more serious than releasing a game a week early. I hate to be the one to say it but it's just a video game. If people are going to buy it they're going to buy it for reasons other than 'I didn't see spoilers on youtube.' Breaking street dates isn't illegal but the publisher can put a lawsuit against the company that released the item early.

Americans ALWAYS get games before us in Europe. That seems to have changed recently where some games are released on a Tuesday(which is the stupidest release date ever). We usually get games on a Friday so you have Friday night and the weekend to play it, not a school day. I bring this up because, since we get games on a Friday, MILLIONS of Americans are playing it before us in EU/Japan/Australia. Having to wait 3/4 more days after this one random person got a game early is trivial. I just don't see the point in it when there's more important issues to be getting worked up about than..."I have to wait 3 days for my game while someone else is playing it right now".

Also have some self control. This forum over the last 2 weeks have been a minefield of spoilers that I've been avoiding. Just don't click any of the links that could potentially spoil your game. I'm completely safe from spoilers as I don't click on those links to see videos/images etc.
Also if the ending sucks, that stupid but happens. Mass Effect 3 is a perfect example of an AMAZING game with one of the crappiest endings that resulted in the community wanting to know more. The extended ending just provided extra content about why the ending sucked. If DmCs ending sucks than I'm pretty ****ed about that already but this does happen. I don't understand why people are clicking spoiler links
 
I've been trying to dance around the spoilers, too, but it's getting tricky. All it takes is one dude mentioning a spoiler in another non-spoiler thread thanks to the thread's context. It already sort of happened, and I half-read it, so I've been avoiding the hazy memory of it :p

As for the ending, I'll believe it when I see it. However, I was one of the few who was perfectly fine with the ending of Mass Effect 3, and understood what it was doing, so...I'll probably end up being okay with whatever ending DmC has. That said, I think a lot of people talking about the ending are just people spewing more vitriol, and people who watched it without any further context to the rest of the game's story.

I also think that so many people have been spoiled on endings. No, not that way, I mean that we've been spoiled to have these super grand endings that now we expect them in everything, when sometimes subdued endings just fit better, and to have one of those super grand endings would be just phoned in, there specifically to be super grand, without substance. *shrug* who knows >.<

I'll see for myself next week.

the people who need self control are those who get the game early. they go out and brag about it in everyones face like it is some sort of life achievement. it is kind of disrespectful doing that to others who are patient enough to wait for the game to release on its actual street date. i understand the excitement, but would you go around forums for getting a dvd early? no. so why a game?

Well, Redgrave, above all else, it's pretty crappy that you would post the leaked ending on our own site, without even having the courtesy to include a spoiler tag. But you're right, the ending is not going to win over people who hate everything else about the game. Frankly I'm not sure why you even bothered watching it after having already made your stance on this project so well publicized.

Raging Demon is also right that this is a retelling, so there are supposed to be milestone moments that have been preserved, albeit in a new light. And with the post-main-game DLC expansion already announced, it shouldn't come as a surprise that Vergil makes it out in some form.

Also, if the turnout seems "sudden," maybe it's because you don't have the context of the rest of the story? Of course it's sudden when you jump to the ending before the game is even out. The power game between Vergil and Dante is actually quite nuanced and I feel the story as a whole rewards those who pay attention to the subtlety of its characters. Oh, but maybe we should talk about that "F*** YOU" scene some more.

That's pretty badass. I like this guy. And oddly enough he is getting at exactly what I am trying to get at.
 
Got to expect this to happen with all the hype and bitching that has gone on.

I tend to distrust official hype and reviews which are bound to say something is great and scores high, even if it's average. Stuff like this evens it out some.

Why not just play "Rocksmith" instead? You actually play on a real guitar on that one. Sure, it's expensive, but I think it's worth the price of admission.

Dude, you being offended by something so trivial and meaningless. Who has bragged to you about finishing the game early though? That's like me being offended because the Americans break have street dates before Asia/EU/Australia etc. So... we've shafted for years now and don't complain.

I'm not offended, but it is selfish and disrespectful to not think before you act. The reason being that other people don't have the game yet. While it doesn't offend me in the slightest, it does however, at times, offend others that are trying to share their excitement with those who are also waiting for the game patiently. It's kind of like driving, you may be in a rush but does that mean you should go around cutting people off? no, you obey the speed limits like everyone else who is in a rush. It makes the whole commute a unenjoyable mess.
