AAAANNNDDD this is why mom and pop shops suck

Breaking8ad

i am the danger, i am the one who knocks!!
Video game stores that release this game early have no idea of the kind of @#$%storm they are starting. I haven't read the ending, I promised myself I wouldn't spoil anything at all for myself and I would try to stay away but It's hard to stay away from my favorite forum on the web. This hurts the sales of this game drastically, depending on how the ending is as bad as people say it is or not. I don't care and don't want to know because either way this game is ****ing fun as hell and I'll play it till the game disk breaks.

But in all seriousness, breaking street dates is illegal for a reason. This is why. Every store is given a SD for a reason, to prevent loss of sales and to protect video gamers from being spoiled and otherwise cheated out of enjoying the full story experience.

You wouldn't watch breakfast club's ending first and immediately discard the entire movie. Or inception or any other movie. So why this game? don't judge it fully until you play the full game.

Thank you.

It's becoming harder considering that I have to wait ten extra days for my copy.
The fact that people have been receiving it earlier... it hurts me... :'(
So please, don't buy this game before release, or else I'll cry...

Jesus, what is the big deal. The ending really isn't that bad. It's not like Mass Effect 3, The Grey, or Breaking Dawn Part 2. It's not a confusing ending either. If this is one of the most disappointing endings ever made then people haven't played many videogame and movies.

I'm in a weird position where on one hand I love the game and can't wait for it on the other I am part of the group that didn't like the ending. I will say that if they only conclude ti in the Vergil DLC I will be upset.

Video game stores...
Thank you.
Digital age, buddy. It has it's ups and downs and this is one of the downs. Besides, you make it sound like a serious crime has been committed, more serious than releasing a game a week early. I hate to be the one to say it but it's just a video game. If people are going to buy it they're going to buy it for reasons other than 'I didn't see spoilers on youtube.' Those whose decisions are based on that criteria are not going to make or brake the game's overall sales figueres

I agree, but I think the "digital age" has a lot more downs, seeing as how there's DLC for every little thing. I'm actually not buying any more games because of it. DmC might be the very last one.

Combine that with the fact that there are no games (besides DmC) that I'm interested that are coming out this year, and that gives me very little reason to even walk into a games store ever again... in real life or online.

Remember when you said in that other thread that Persona 4 Golden is the only reason you got a Vita? Same here. In fact, that's probably the only new game I'm getting for a good long while (until DmC comes out over here, anyway).

Do we even know if this ending is confirmed?
How about we just wait till the damn game is released, see the ending in it's full context, and then decide if it was good?

BECAUSE THE ENDING SUCKS AND THAT'S ALL THAT MATTERS AGKLJAFD;AOLNJRASEO *FROTHS AT THE MOUTH*

Seriously, though, I still find some occasional awesomeness in games that keep in. For example, I just played the demo for Unfinished Swan and it blew me away at what a cool concept it was.

The downs may be more but it's the ups that make it all worth while.

It's a great thing I actually haven't looked at the front page.
So I don't know what this supposed ending is.
Awesome.

http://www.kotaku.com.au/2011/10/why-street-date-breaks-are-bad-for-the-games-industry-as-a-whole/

this explains alot. also I used to follow The Dark tower series from the start (my most favorite book series of all time) and my friend got the last book, he was talking about it at school and blabbed the ending to it out loud. I didn't pick up the book or read it because he told me the ending that ...well...ruined it all for me. And video games are not just video games in some cases. They are interactive stories to me and that is one of the reasons I like them so much.

Yep , It does kind of ruin everything will early release. Where I live shops don't sell them till the actual release date

Everyone saw how ****ed gregaman was when someone posted it on the capcom-unity forums, just imagine how mad he would be if he saw it on here. He probably already did -_-

The ending was good but honestly I was very disappointed man! I expected something great like HS ending since it was NT doing the story. Also, the development took about 4 years and they could have done a little bit more on the ending part. Well, who am I kidding anyway! I will enjoy the hell outta the game until my PS3 explodes due to it's sheer awesomeness!
