A quick summery of the horrible DmC reboot

i agree with both of you, the dt is the only thing i've really found fault with so far. as you pointed out it takes just as long to kill an enemy while in dt, actually it seems like it takes even longer! hmph, perhaps the dt is one thing capcom and nt are experimenting with right now, and hopefully they'll get it right. i think what would be cool, is to have dante when he first dts to have him with white hair and red jacket, then as he kills more and more enemies he begins evolving into a demon, so basically the more enemies you kill the more demonic dante becomes until he reaches his full potential. could really draw people into using dt not only for dealing damage in a time of need, but players would be interested in seeing dante's transformation

^There's something interesting in what Choco says. *ponders on* If executed right, such transformation would most likely get people DT more and desire to see the peak Dante could reach. But then again, would it mess with the story line or would it richen it?

^ definitely, and i was thinking about what you were saying earlier kammo, and i thought of a solution. okay so maybe half way through the game dante gains permanent white hair and red jacket etc. so then when he dt's it skips the white hair step and he goes directly to his full potential demon stage, and from there what the player can do is transform his devil trigger by holding the angel/demon weapons, abilities button (more than likely R2 and L2)

O_o So the player uses more DT, Dante becomes more and more demonic, eventually subdues his angelic side/form, and then finally subdues his human form!! What we have in the end is a fully-fledged demon, right ?

correct! but idk just a wish i guess lol

Ohk... So you wish Dante was a full demon instead of half human-half demon like in the previous games !!
No problems with your wish but then, what would be difference between Dante and Vergil if they both surrender their human part ?? What would be the point in the existence of the epic DMC 3 ??

^Hmm, if DmC Dante is supposed to keep both his angel and demon sides within him, then the progress into a devil might hinder it... but what if it was depended on the player would the DT advance Dante into more demonic or angelic direction? But it's funny, "a devil trigger" making Dante an angel... haha. Seeing how complicated this might get, maybe NT is really only just having a one-layered DT with no big purpose behind it?

oh wait woops, that's not exactly what i meant i meant he could become a demon, but he could control it like he does in dmc3 and dnc4 sorry for the confusion :p
and the wish i was talking about, was the dt actually pertaining to dante turning into a demon instead of just having white and red jacket, with slo mo abilities lol

yeah it does get pretty confusing, now i wished they would explain the devil trigger :P lol

Ever thought of "ANGEL TRIGGER" ?! Y'know DT making him more of a demon and 'AT' making him more of an angel !? But seriously telling, I don't want anything of this kind. And you may be right, DT is what is shown with no other purpose behind it. This thing seems more likely than the other way round.

dt actually
pertaining to dante turning
into a demon instead of just
having white and red jacket,
with slo mo abilities
Now this is what I also want to see- Dante turning into a demon (with tremendous power boost and becoming faster than normal) when using DT instead of the one with red jacket and slow mo crap !

I hope Dante takes whatever angelic powers he has, and cast his angel side away and become more demonic!

^ could be a possible explanation to how dante ends up half demon half human at the end of the game (if thats what happens) but i do think an angel triger could be really cool, i picture dante becoming something like credo's ascension form (from dmc4)

If Dante went into his demon form, i would think it would be similar to his sword. He wouldnt be as sleek, and cool, but i think he would be pretty hideous. As far as i know, Dante has no control over his overall power and has yet to see how powerful he really is. It would be cool it Dante had a really tragic moment, and his emotions were beyond his control and he manifest into a grotesque demon, losing all control. And yea, eventually gaining his composure and blah blah save the world blah blah

i would like to see that, dante loses his cool and goes into beast mode! however i don't want him to be constantly angry everytime we see him. im really curious to see if dante is gonna have a demon form in this game

Yea i dont want to see Dante angry throughout the game, but i kinda got over his "superman" persona. Dante is way cooler than superman but he basically has the same mind set as him. (cept vergil)
If DmC is about him being alone and constantly hunted by a demonic city then yea, he can have his moments of being fearful. But at some point we need to see his confidence rise so high, that he is literally untouchable
