A question.....why does Dante look human in this?

"Heaven and hell suppose two distinct species of man, the good and the bad.

"But the greatest part of mankind float betwixt vice and virtue."

- David Hume

Eva is an angel so basically a human with wings and so far sparda looks like a human but with horns sooooo since they're not fully demon or angel they dont get all the traits from either the wings or horns. Sparda "human" from may just be him hiding his horns and Eva is could've hid her wings so its no surprise that their kids would look human since they look pretty human themselves. So if a transformation does happen later in the game for Dante or Virgil its probably more like a super saiyan state, it would be the result of using their power but not something that could be maintained without enough power to keep it goin.

I usually think that new Dante's DT is his true form that he was suppose to be born into and the real demon form is his true self within that first form.

DEMONCEPTION

*cue music* **BUAAAAAAM**

You're right, though. No "True Angel/Demon Form" has been revealed yet. The DT we have here may be just one of two. However, as much as I want a "Change Form", and more melee weapons, I think it's safe to say we've seen just about everything, which is kind of a downer, really. :(

Six melee weapons (including Vergil's) just isn't enough for me. The chain should have been a kusari-gama, or some other whip-like weapon (like Heavenly Sword... yes, I said that on purpose). But then haters would have just have had yet another excuse to compare this to GoW. Thanks, haters. You've potentially deprived us of what could have been a seriously awesome weapon.

That last part was a half-joke. I honestly don't mind the lack of a chain, but the raging has cause changes in DmC before, so, I think it was justified.

I know. I wouldn't have mind a weapon like that. It would help with crowd control immensely and really would have worked good. Plus, I did like some of the things you could do with the environment like this.

Or at least running on ropes and doing cool stuff like that.

That's exactly what the haters said about Heavenly Sword, as well. That the chain weapon was trying to copy GoW... I forgot to mention that specific point before.

I really like that chain weapon, but it looks like Aguila has taken over in the mid-range melee department... if only there were someway to make a demon chain weapon to go along with Aguila.

Let me explain it to you this way:

Osiris "matches" with Arbiter

Aguila "matches" with Eryx.

Instead of that, they could have made it like this...

Aguila matches with Demonic Chain Castlevania whip

Eryx matches with Hermes/Mercury (winged kicking greaves... which I still say they are saving for Vergil... who knows?)

Vergil may ironically get a kusari-gama anyway... although I wouldn't count on it. If he did, then it would be strange for him to use it as a weapon, while Dante only uses it to traverse throughout the environment.

The fact that angels look like humans with wings kind of explains it for me. And since the original Dante didn't have any of his father's demonic traits, I'd say it really doesn't matter.

I've seen movies where angels appeared human when on earth because they were weaker and couldn't manifest their original appearance as well. Plus there was the fact that they couldn't let anyone know what they were. These same movies had the same reason for the demons to look human. In Supernatural they possess a human vessel. It changed the vessel's blood, infusing it with the power from the angel or demon. So, chances are if you use that idea, the genetics of the angel and demon would still be passed on even though the vessels are human. They'd still be passing on their own powers which would make the offspring look human, but have supernatural powers.

I'm not saying this goes along with mythology, but it gives a theory of why Dante and Vergil look human. Their parents having to take human form could have been a permanent thing for them, kind of like a vessel. That would likely make their children look human.

If you are going to nitpick this...how in the world are you going to explain Bob Barbus?
First he is 100% pure demon but his name is bob.
Second his form is a digital head of a news reporter even though he is demon!

Regarding Bob Barbas; being that Mundus uses the name "Kyle Ryder" in the human world, the demons are using cover names to blend in with the humans. Simple and self-explanitory. As to his demonic form being digital, that's because it's how he operates , demons can changed their form and placement within Limbo from what we've seen, that's what Limbo does, after all; serve as the Demonic realm between realms.
