A new Vergil reboot

I think NT are delivering the best Dante and Vergil, with this new serie, I mean Dante has new cool one liners (like: "Hey Bob ! Put some spit on this !"), has more carisma in some way (at least is not cheese like in old series), the hair fit perfectly in the atmosphere of the game, his chaotic, fearless and bada**. A perfect anti-hero (or hero). Vergil is a genius with a plan, his almost identical to the original one, just the clothes are change to a more westernize culture, I think he will be awesome.

I hope Ninja Theory don't change the appearence of the two (like hair or something), they should distance themself as possible from the old series and deliver us the greatest experience in a videogame and I'm sure they' re gonna success.

His entire vocabulary consist of the word "F*ck" and instead of actually making one liners based off of others flaws. (Something original Dante did), he just flat out tells them "F*ck you." because he can't come up with anything else to say.

And really, Why are 10000 year old demonic entities doing something as childish as nonstop cussing when they lose?
In the original, they honorably accepted their defeat, and would give Dante their soul as a Devil Arm.

By decent, do you mean up to par with such great lines like, "Flock off feather face"?

Obviously, Vergil doesn't fit all the qualifications, but he does fit some of them.

Oh, and have you noticed how a LOT of Kotaku "commentators" on that page really are fans of DmC?? I'm definitely surprised that there hasn't been more trolls.

But what troubles me about Dante is that his hair...not it's colour but it's length is disturbing to me.
I wanted a bit more length. Say about 2 centimeters and I'm happy as hell.

Second, I share my opinion and I'm suportive to the new one (respecting the old ones).

Third, Do you have a cristal ball that predicts the future ? Because I haven't seen DmC out yet. Saying that his new catch frase will be saying every 5 minutes F**K thats too soon don't you think ? The trailers does not show all the product. The developers try to addapt to this generation rather than the respectible japanese culture. Hey who knows maybe he will share some old lines.

Forth, We don't know anything about the new universe that NT and Capcom wants to deliver, so what do we know of how a demon or else can behave ?

Fifth, New Dante as cheese as the Old one ? They share almost the same behavior but not the cheeseness.

The thing between old Dante's and new Dante's sense of humor is that new Dante's sense of humor seems more Western based while the old one is your common type of Japanese archetypical humor.

Dante telling Griffon to "Flock off feather face", "Its like looking into a backed up toilet", or "Chill Fido" is the same as Naruto calling Zetsu "Aloe Vera".

New Dante, outside his minor vulgar language, has a SpiderMan type sense of humor saying phrases that comes off as more clever rather than cheesy like "Well Bob I can see why your views is so upside down" or "You know what your problem is...your too clingy.....and your all mixed up" all sounds like something SpiderMan would say and the whole Poison boss fight scenario, you could easily replace Dante with Tony Stark(Iron Man) in that scenario with the same script minus the "My name is Dante".

Agility, I'll be honest with you, I don't want to become the new CoolDemon and Asmodaius of this site.

Here is the basic information on these 2 users from how I remember: CoolDemon could be very much like a troll at times, but made really good arguments, and was very funny, Asmodaius was really the only one who found holes in CoolDemons arguements, and tried to always call Cooldemon names like "Hypocrite." and so on.

That sounds very similar to our case, except for the fact that the heat between those two could grow to enormous levels, and the name calling was ridiculous on both of their parts.

Asmodaius got banned, and CoolDemon just ... dissapeared.

It would be better for the two of us to get along, if not for ourselves, than for the rest of the forum who don't want to have to put up with constant 60's Spiderman and Ponies trying to flame eachother, so let's use these images for what they are intended. Reacting to post.

(Though noone said we couldn't constantly use them, only that we couldn't constantly use them to flame eachother.:shifty: )

We share common ground in the fact that we both like MARVEL.

So I'm willing to put down my mounted machine gun turret, if you're willing to put down the rocket launcher.

Now back on topic. I would like this Vergil a bit more had he been a new character, or better yet, a rebooted Credo.

Credo just seems more likely to be the one leading the Order, and Vergil would not be mentioned until the second game.

Just imagine, Credo, being the one nice guy in the orphanage Dante was raised in, the guy who tried to comfort Dante, then he found out all the torture Dante spoke of was real, did research into it, found out about the demons, quit his job, and went on to form the order. Only for fate to reunite him with Dante.
