A Fashion Blogger Weighs In: Dante's Look

Hah. He would have a full on wardrobe ensemble then. We could have an excuse to customize his look, instead of having to rely on the one jacket throughout the entire game.

Just wish the jacket's hood wasn't so BIG. But I love the outfit overall.

I'm okay with the hood's size, I just wish it flowed independently like the tail did. I still say that the coat physics in DmC were really well done. The coat actually hangs off his shoulders, instead of sticking to his body and flowing out from his ribs like most games do it.

Aw yes. It's the little things like that I really like. Dante having to brush his coat back on his shoulders really shows how much details put into these coat physics. I hope the next game (whether DMC5 or DmC2) remembers these physics for future reference.

Any game should strive to make that a standard. It's like how I love that Naughty Dog went the extra mile and gave Drake like ten different subtle variations to his "behind cover" pose. It's such a small thing, but it makes the game a lot more unique and...I dunno...alive?

That coat is the very reason (graphically) I'm excited for the rumored remaster. I'm certain they can accomplish clothing physics far better.

Think about pressing triangle with Rebellion and seeing that coat flutter from the power behind each swing.

That rumored remaster was just the PSN collection of the digital game and the DLC for PS3 :(

What do you guys want to see for the next game (if there is one)? I think they should make subtle changes to the coat with each new installment. Not too much though, I spent a lot of money on my Dante coat. xD

Somehow, hearing the news that Sleeping Dogs is getting a remastered version for the PS4 gives me hope. Okay, maybe we have to wait a little longer since the game came out in 2013, but if DmC keeps selling, I think it'll happen.

Here's one thing I have to say about Original Dante's coat being more 'flamboyant' and 'out-of-place' than new Dante's. Is that of course it is, and it makes sense that it would be.
As I've said, one of the key differences between the original and the reboot Dante, is that the original grew up being able to appreciate his powers.
Be honest here, if you were a super awesome, gravity-defying, indestructible badass, you'd be a show off too.
When that ****storm after Tameem's "Dante walks into a bar" comment happened. I was wondering why no one brought that bit up.
It would go down like the scene in Terminator 2 when he gets the clothes.
Yes, they would laugh at him, until some douche who thinks he's the big dog, gets in his face and he beats the douche's face into a second ass, and everyone else in there shuts up.

Since new Dante's powers brought him nothing but grief, he doesn't really feel like his powers are something to brag about.

Actually, Dante relished in his ability to hold his own against supernatural enemies, it was like, flat out said that Dante revels in fighting, it's his element, and he enjoys the powers he has.

Man, this sums up how I feel about Dante's look in general.

HOWEVER. I just really want him to wear a cherry read leather jacket. God, with his short white hair that would look so good on him.
