A big "Thank You!" Ninja Theory!

So, I bought the game today on Steam. Should've pre-ordered but eh, just some clothes, right? If anyone knows when the costume pack will be available for purchase, I would be very, very grateful.
Anyway, I just wanted to express how happy I am with the PC version for DmC. First off, I bought it thinking "sh**, the game will play at 15fps because this ain't the best PC out there, and it's five years old, no way it's going to run smoothly." And, well, I was wrong for the most part. The game runs at something like 25fps at least, and I'm totally sure I can have a blast with it. It also looks gorgeous, I only disabled V-sync and I'm totally able to play it at 1440x900 with details at High. No HD texture, no HD nothing, just plain and simple.
I feel like I have to talk about the controls. They are amazing. I grew bored of going the old WASD+IJKL from DMC3/4 because it hurt my hands. Seriously. Playing with the mouse is just amazing, too. I can't do the Stinger most of the time, granted, but it just feels good to play. Also being able to customize almost everything is just awesome.
Now, the game doesn't run perfectly. There are some instances in which the game simply freezes and I have to wait a couple seconds for it to work correctly. Mostly when the game is saving(damn you, auto-save).
So thank you very much, Ninja Theory. I'm not sure it were you guys whom developed the PC version, but every single person involved with said edition should get this HUGE thank you. So here's my thank you for you guys, you deserve it. And geez, parrying the Hunter's knife felt so good I feel like I need to thank you for that, too. So thank you again, and again, and thank you forever.

I also fear I might turn into a fanboy. We'll see.
For those interested in my PC specs, they are:

Core 2 Duo E4500 2.2Ghz
Geforce 8600GT 512MB DDR2
3GB RAM
Windows 7

Hope I didn't forget anything, lol.

Not gonna lie.
1440p is ORGASMIC! But not HD textures or V-sync!? Damn. At least you have it on PC. Awesome!
You must really be pushing that graphics card though.
How does using the mouse work?

Well, I'm satisfied with the results. Not gonna lie, the game looks AMAZING even though I can't turn HD stuff or V-sync. :P
Playing with the mouse is better overall, I think. Since it does move the camera around, and feels more natural too. Rebellion/Devil arms' attack being the left button, and Ebony & Ivory/Revenant/Kablooey's attack being the right button. It's pretty neat.
I just find the game's combo-like system confusing. Pressing forward twice + attack to do a Stinger just doesn't feel natural to me.

It's so good on PC. I'd say it was worth the wait. It's absolutely stunning. I'm hardly that far into the game, I've been to busy.
But from I played in the first mission, worth every penny.

I have the game on PC as well. Max settings for me. The game looks good but it def looks dated. This is the unreal engine after all which is very dated. Arkham City was made with the same engine but it appears to look better then DmC for some reason. Funny thing is that they both run at 30fps on the consoles so I don't know. It still looks pretty good though. DMC4 graphics were more demanding on my system which is very odd since DmC looks abit better. Its just weird.

Game is great :D also works very smooth on maxed settings (vsync is off). Only the graphic, it isn't bad, sometimes even nice but guys....DMC4 was realesed on 2008/2009 and looks better :/ Even than game kick ass :D

So I did some testing with the graphics while trying to complete the second mission. Turns out that doesn't matter what I turn on, the game still plays very much the same.
The odd thing is, the game runs better if I turn everything on and put the graphics at maximum setting. Still freezes A LOT. Tried putting everything on minimum and the result was... It froze even more.
Sure am hoping for a patch, if that is indeed a bug and not just some random shenanigans from my outdated computer.

Edit: Forgot to say: can't mess with the refresh rate, the game simply reverts it back. Searching for a solution on the Steam forums, lots of people having the same issue.

Sorry for the double post but, has anyone got into the "beta" tab in the Steam game properties?
It has a lot of options, but they are password locked.

Edit: added image.

I'm interested to see what the mod community end up doing with it, but I suspect it'll end up a lot like Castlevania 2. You can only fix so much on a clock with no innards.

dude compare the lip sync and facial animation in 4 to DmC, 4 doesn't really have good lip sync at all

Ever played Soul Calibur IV? You shall bear witness to the terror that is "Bad Lip Sync" *spooky noises from Scooby Doo*.

Yes, because Project Soul laud themselves as master story tellers set to elevate videogames as a medium, and have a multi-million pound motion capture studio as well as veteran actors painstakingly rendered using the very best technology available.

DmC's facial capture is absolutely inexcusably bad, and that's when the actors are even bothering to emote.

And NT have the gall to claim otherwise. I know how to tell urine from rain.

What was it again? Oh yeah, "Transcending history and the world, a tale of souls and swords . . ." Ah, got to love that line that is repeated throughout the series. It's pretty funny because there is no story. Or one that is always sitting in the back like every other fighting game.

In beat'em ups plot is always superfluous to mechanics. It'd be nice if someone tried to inject some decent storytelling into that genre...however recent events have informed me that my idea of decent story telling is far removed from that of 99% of mainstream game critics, so forget I said anything.

lol bad facial capture? are you serious? first of all, the only times they don't "emote" is when a character is supposed to care about the situation or conversation, such as when

dante's face obviously screams, "i'm interested but i'm cautious because to me all demons are bad" do you even realize how many times they have to act out a scene, do you know anything about film or animation besides what you hear in dev diaries, yeah if you think this is bad facial capture then you must think that uncharted and the last of us have terrible facial animation, (here's a hint, you're completely wrong if you think otherwise, uncommonly known fact, there's a such thing as a uncredible opinion)

SNK, well, the King of Fighters' series sort of did that, but because of how fighting games are and that back then everyone was trying to be another "Street Fighter", story telling wasn't that possible.

Journey by thatgamecompany has a very interesting way of telling a story so I've heard. Dishonored has the typical justice or revenge story with good backstory/lore. In my opinion, with The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, Nintendo proves that story doesn't need voice acting. Although Journey did a story without voice acting, text, or anything normally found in games. The inFamous series is the typical be the hero or the villain game, nice if you like comics. Spec Ops: The Line, although another shooter, examines the dark side of war. It tries themes more like Apocalypse Now, showing war as this terrible, morally blurred situation. Gameplay is generic, but the story might interest you. Oh, and none of that "pause and pick a choice", it's almost on the fly, so all your actions/mistakes are taken into account.
