Think about it? Devil May Cry 1 remade, Mallet Island with DMC5 (or even better) level graphics, add the style system, with Reuben's Dante voice? They probably have to add a couple of weapons and bosses though.

How about taking a bad game and making it awesome?

Imagine, DMC2 with current gen graphics, better gameplay and a Dante that isn't taciturn and boring.

I'd actually prefer that over a DMC1 remake.

They shouldn't remake the second game before they remake the first game imo

DMC2 is just an easier hill to climb than 1. Plus I'm not too fussy over the order so its not a big deal to get 2 first.

But DMC1 is a safer bet. It's already a great game. DMC2 they'll have to change the f@$k out of it to make it good

I wouldn’t want a remake of 1. For me if you’re going to remake something then do it for something that wasn’t great in the first place. Many remakes usually fail bar a few exceptions due to the fact they remake something that was already considered good.

I'm sorry dude, but can you honestly say that when one of the biggest games of the year was a remake of a classic game? (I'm referring to RE2 ofcourse). Imo, to make a DMC2 remake any good, they'd have to make it almost completely different, and if they do that. Then what's the point of a DMC2 remake? Just make DMC6.

With a DMC2 remake, the story, characters and setting can remain the same.

They just need to vastly improve the gameplay, graphics, and Dante's personality.
