Well that came out longer than I anticipated.

Basically a bunch of bitter fanboys are angry because they think SJWs are taking the sexy out of their precious video games. It's pathetic really. I was a fan of the sexual, bouncing boobs too, but I always wanted DOA to focus more on its combat and fighting mechanics first and foremost.

And judging by most of the gameplay, that's just what they've done. They tuned up some of the fighting mechanics and added more cinematics to it like those animations where the characters punch each other square in the face.

The fan service is a core part of the series and what most fans love about it, so much so that a spin off series of games was made just for the fan service alone.
You may scoff at it, but SJW pandering is very much the issue. I don't know if you heard about it, but the devs chose not to release Xtreme 3 internationally due to fear of SJW/Feminist backlash, they admitted that themselves.

In response, the fans(myself included) went to import sites like PlayAsia and supported Xtreme 3 in mass to make our voices heard and it ended up breaking the Xtreme Series sales records.
And STILL, they're trying to take the fan service away from us. That's why we're so ****ed and pushing back against it.

...That's seriously the most juvenile thing I've ever heard in my life concerning video games. Admittedly I'm pretty much a stranger to the series but I had no idea there were people out there who actually actively seek out fighting games to play with one hand, if you know what I mean.

That is so sad in my opinion, and makes me feel like an idiot for all these years spent defending the category of gamers from accusations of being a bunch of "thirsty desperate wankers". I cannot believe there's a whole fighting game series' fanbase that makes beating your meat instead of your opponent its focal point for existing. What in the actual eff.
