Each time Koei makes a new DW/SW game, the combat and gameplay becomes the template for all their other projects...SW4 recently nailed how to do the forumula on modern consoles, so Berserk, AoT, Arslan, etc had the same polish and combat. So just wait until DW9 and its promises of an open-world comes out, because all future games will probably mimic it. Let's just hope it's good, first.

If you like Gundam, have you considered playing Gundam Versus when it comes out? That's getting a Western release.

I've considered it but Gundam Vs Gundam Next Plus spoiled me. It has more suits from series I like and a higher emphasis on close-combat, and Gundam Versus just doesn't look all that fun.

Ah, I see. That can happen when a franchise gets too big...you see less of your favorite characters/mechs in future titles. That's the partial benefit of liking Macross, for instance, which is only 6 series long...so the new game will definitely have my favorite mechs from Series 1.
