Bosses have always been hit or miss in Musou games, ESPECIALLY in Fist of the North Star: Ken's Rage. The game is still built around the appeal and flaws of the Musou series. If you don't love Dynasty Warriors or Samurai Warriors like I do, it won't change your mind. Also, @DreadnoughtDT, the officers are like that in practically every Musou game.
@DreadnoughtDT - I played a few levels last night and the officers in Berserk flinch. They just happen to also block a lot, and get those buffs when they're low on HP.
@WolfOD64 - yeah, bosses are weird. Particularly I got stuck in loops of them doing the same move that just wouldn't let me do anything and wasted my Frenzy meter; it also sorta sucks when they Frenzy right after you do, and then...also waste your Frenzy by knocking you out of things.
I like musou games quite a bit, although I'm more partial to the BASARA series (actually just ordered the JP-only Sengoku BASARA 4 for PS4), and Hyrule Warriors is still probably one of my all-time favorites for the amount of variety in character functionality and all the neat mechanics they added.
