I almost hoped their biggest creature at the end was just a flat out demon and Dante would appear so that we could finally have our DMC movie

This film really is getting a lot of negative reviews right now. I haven't seen it yet, and sort of still want to... how does it fare compared to previous entries in the series?

I think it's by far the worst one. I got so frustrated watching it. I'm not exaggerating when I say that this movie has the most heavy use of shakycam I've ever seen in my life. The action scenes are totally ruined by that (and there are a lot), you can't even tell who dies because the camera work is so crappy. I didn't understand a thing of what was going on.
