Far more important? Hell no it's not, Quake's got priority as member of the FPS kings trinity together with Doom and Wolfenstein. Those two are already done justice, but you save the best for last, now it's Quake's turn!

Although Q4 wasn't developed by id. However I do hope they'll take Raven's approach to singleplayer if they ever develop a new one, even though Carmack spoke contrary to it. :/
