But Nero was indeed an actual emperor of Rome. Google is your friend, man, look him up.

well, that's what i've known these whole years, hence i've always thought the nero burning software as a reference to it..

i've googled it to make sure, but i can't tell myself if it's real or just something from a theatrical play.. oh well, for now i'll believe an italian for that..

Nero was real, but there seems to be some talk among historians if he really burned down Rome or was it all, including the playing music while the city burned, a smear campaign by the senate, who could never see eye to eye with him. The accusation and prosecution of Christians I'd say was definitely his doing, his ass was at stake.
