No, because that's normal for most 'fighting-themed' stories... I think.

No I mean the VERY FIRST fight they get in. Most stories have him beating a wanna be tough guy to show off how strong the main character is, but what if instead his first fight was with a final boss enemy and he loses before we get to see how strong the MC is.

That's still a common situation. I can think of several series where the hero loses the very first fight.
