I find it very childish. Its basically endless grind fest with fetch quests over story and all stories are cliche and forgettable. They tried to add something like religion subplot in the end but it ended more like Future Diary than real Xenoverse. Basically it all boils down to all characters loosing loved ones to bad robots and marching on revenge quest.

hmmm.. i personally can't find anything i like everytime i watched videos of it, and your review helps me not liking it, kinda get the bigger picture.. how was the characters? likeable? and has xenoblade chronicle x out yet?

Yes I think XC x is already out. But I honestly don't really inspired to get WiiU for it. Honestly I forgot characters shortly after finishing it. Main character is basically standard MC. Main heroine is basically Mary Sue type of character. than there is elderly teacher guy, some princess, some big strong guy, annoying mascot and chick with traumatised past who serves mostly for fansevice there.

wow, that helps alot, lol.. and what do you think of xenosaga? for me it's the last episode that lived up to xenogears the first was urghh.. i guess it's hard to repeat something good.. gonna check chronicle x vids, it looked kinda interesting before the release..

I didn't liked gameplay much. I think some characters were good some were annoying. It had quite few bright spots with Testaments and references to Xenoblade like grown up Maria and creator of Four Horsemen of Apocalypse. I think weakest was Xenosaga 2. I would rather watch it story than play it.

ah, definitely understand the some characters are annoying, best part was abel and universitas gear, that feeling when i saw them..

just watched a video, still looks interesting but too much shouting in combat.. and then you showed me a link, gosh seeing a review with "boring" in it is devastating, basically it's the same review you had for xenoblade

I suspect they gave up mature writing for open world. so it most likely just huge time waste instead of really being fun or interesting. I suspect nintendo holds tight leash around whole mature theme side like genocide, human experiments, folk slaughter, religion, etc

i'm thinking almost the whole of gaming industry does that.. personally find only LoS did awesome job with story these past years, well that and i don't play much game lately..

I think LoS1 had good story, LoS2 not so much sadly. I just stick to old-school games like Bloodborne, because they don't need much story to work and done rely on boring repetitions.

lol, play old school games, better safe than sorry.. yeah that's probably for the best, better have fun than expexting much and get disappointed..

lets be honest there are so little good written shows, films, games etc, that concentrating on something they do best gives you more than demanding from them something they physically unable to make. xD

lol, i think it had something to do with writers goin on strike for getting lower pay than directors and actors many years ago, but that was hollywood, dunno about gaming industry..
