Hopefully, Dante will live up to his genuine DMC1 reputation in DMC5 instead of acting out like he did in 4.

Dante is the way he is in DMC1 cause he's focused on getting his revenge. In fact, when he's not focused on that (beginning and ending) he's very much as cheesy-yet-classy as DMC4.

The only Dantes who truly are out of character are DMC2 and anime Dante. The latter especially, given who's behind the microphone.
