Metroid confrontation? No, why what is it?

It's the tech demo for AM2R. Same game engine. A short standalone game, about a quarter the size of a regular Metroid game. You'd like it.

Yes, it's very good I love it. i've been using it to play the classic Metroid games and some fan made remakes and hacks.

You should try it. My favourite so far is "Metroid Phazon" I think it's called. though it's pretty confusing at the start. I still couldn't find the Morph ball. I ran past a boss and found the super missile without a sign of the morph ball.

Worst part, it was a redesign of the plant boss in Super Metroid. the layout was completely different and I couldn't escape the boss room. You can skip the boss and get the super missile but you can't go back through the exit.

Dude, that sucks... I hate Spore Spawn and making him worse is awful.

If anything he's not really worse. The first part of the room are his spores and the second part is just him. so you can stand safetly between the spores and him. He is also reskinned to look like an awesome machine.

Interesting. Kinda makes me think of the bosses in the Metroid II remake. And holy **** those bosses are awesome.

I got stuck on the turtle boss dude. Halfway through he became invulnerable to all my attacks and kept shooting these high damage, hard to dodge purple balls.

Did you read the logbook entry for him? Once you get him to go berserk, you have to go into morph ball and plant bombs to make him hit the spikes in the ceiling.

well no need to read it now that you just told me. Thanks bud. Also that room before him is huge. I used spider ball all across the ceiling and it went on for ages.

Yeah, the rooms outside the buildings are pretty damn impressively big.

Yeah well i'll get to beating that boss soon. Any idea how much of the game's finished and how close it is until he's done?

He's just got to finish area 5 and the final area. So far the areas are: Entry Tunnel, Golden Temple, Hydro Station, Munitions Factory, Mining Area, and the Research Tower. Area 5 is going to be water themed, and the final area is the Metroid Hive.
