Pretty much.

LOL not even close. I sure wish the game's code was that easy to access and modify to implement the stuff they implemented. Even the most advanced motion mods and model swap mode are not at the same level. And sure as hell are a pain in the ass for modders to make.

Besides, even if what you said actually made sense, PC is not the only platform. Consoles can't have mods.

I think DMC 4: SE was mostly just a ploy to get people 'interested' in the series again and to create an illusion that DMC 5 will surely arrive in the next few years.

I'm just gonna go ahead and say it: DMC4SE was Capcom's own personal "kickstarter."

To be honest, I'm actually not against this. I think we need to prove with our wallets BEFOREHAND that we're willing to buy DMC5.

The fifth entry will most likely be developed... but I think we have to do our part.

Besides, it's odd that DMC4 is relatively hard to mod, MT Framework is a PC engine.

The fandom needs to "vote with their wallets"? They already did that for DMC4. It sold more in its first year than DMC1 has in its lifetime. By now DMC4's gone triple platinum. That it didn't deliver on the "More missions, weapons, enemies, maneuvers, etc than all the other games combined" hype Kobayashi was spouting off at Famitsu doesn't matter. The fandom still supported it, quality be damned. Triple plat anyway.
