Oh and how's life on the forum? I don't come on here often anymore. Way too many a**holes get away with too much sh*t. That ignore button doesn't cut it for me at all.
I'll look you up for sure. It's been okay so far; I've been outright avoiding topics that I know are meant to bait people into angry replies. I've been on too many a forum to fall for trolling techniques-at least most of the time, lol. I still get p*ssed off, every now and then. But I hear ya; a-holes are everywhere. D: So far, no one's picked a fight with me, so it's all good.
Aw, you're one of the lucky ones. Some a**hole practically patrolled the thread 'Worst moment in DmC' and just undermined my opinion and agreed with nearly everyone else. *Shrug* So I stay in the Dante-ness, what are you thinking/reading/listening/ranting about threads. Yeah, it's gotten that bad for me.
Oh, I'm sure that's bound to happen to me sooner or later; it always has in the past, no matter what forum I've been on. XD Your logic is sound, sticking to one area where you won't have to deal with the b.s....at least not as much. ^^;
Yeah, fights break out almost everywhere if a difference of opinions pop up, but I think some people on here do it to be mean/ get a rise out of people. Oh and by the way, I'm assuming Dampir07 on deviant art did the sig. Do you know if he takes requests?
Nope, not Dampir, but I do like his/her work. They did do one for me; Dante is shirtless, leaning against a bar. XD LoneWolf117 did my avi. He takes requests, but only from people who befriend him, since a lot of people got what they wanted from him, and then never spoke to him again.
Yeah, I had that happen, too. :/ When I respond to my alerts, I was able to go to certain topics. But when I clicked on the general discussion forum, I got the 404. Maybe they're doing updates on the site?
I'm glad it wasn't just me, though. I was thinking, "Oh, great. NOW what's wrong with my computer?" XD I'm sure it will clear up. What kind of work are you updating?
My Sabretooth story on FF. I'm just going down the story list cleaning up adverbs, sentence structure, typos and the like. It's tedious, but it's worth it. My computer can't tell the difference between 'form' and 'from'. Then again I have OpenOffice and their spell-checking is CRAPPY!
I have Microsoft Word Starter. It came with the laptop; apparently I'd have to pay for the full version of "Word", lol. Usually it catches when I accidentally type the wrong word, but more than a few have slipped through it, too. >.< Going over your old work and improving it is definitely worthwhile; it also shows you that you've come a long way since then. I'm terrified to even look at my older stuff....
When I first started writing, I was that girl who had terrible sentence structure, no deep meaning in the characters, grammar mistakes, and all of the above. When I went to go re-write it, I was actually SCREAMING at how bad it was. Oh that was painful for me so I feel your pain. But I encourage you to look at your old stuff...and scream if you feel like it, lol!!
My very first one (Bass' Last Battle) wasn't too bad storyline wise. But honestly, it's a wall of text. I didn't break up any of the paragraphs, so it's a serious case of eye strain, lol. >.< I figure even the good parts need fixing, though. At the very least, I can clean it up a bit, make it easier to read (even if I don't change any of the content). I guarantee I'll be very vocal when I start revising it. XD
Ah I know the feeling. I'm reading this book called In Enemy Hands and it is boring. But I feel the need to complete it to judge it as a whole. Any books/stories that you are reading right now?
