Dark Drakan
Dark Drakan
Ive read 32 reviews so far and watched 8 video reviews and it looks to be vastly improved. Most reviews have said it is far better than the clunky Oblivion one. However I should have my copy after work and I will let you know first hand when I play it.

I never really bothered with the 3rd person in Oblivion or Fallout 3 except to admire armour etc but I appreiciate some people prefer it. Id still bet its much better in 1st person and was designed for it mainly but you no longer glide across terrain like you used to I noticed from videos. Still seems hard to know when your weapon connects with enemies though, more so than in 1st person anyway.

Also bet aiming with arrows and spells would be difficult in 3rd person though im just speculating having not tried it.

I see. Personally, I dislike playing RPGs with FPS mode. I don't know why, but perhaps because I am get nausea easily when laying first person view games.

Please tell me what are your opinion on using third person view when you get to play it later. :D

The 3rd person is definately better than previous games and the walking, running and jumping etc look much better. Easier to be able to tell when you hit enemies too. Casting magic and firing arrows is more difficult in 3rd person obviously but still better than past games for sure.

I will inspect it closer when I next get to play it (tomorrow probably). Anything else you want to know in the meantime?

Hmm... I would like to know how good is the RPG aspect such as leveling up and other stuffs. Oh, and one more thing. Is the game's progression linear similar to Mass Effect games or non-linear like Final Fantasy games?

You mean linear like FF and non-linear like Mass Effect right? lol from the opening moments you are free to go anywhere you wish and take or ignore any quests you wish. There is the main quest which if you want to do the main story part its important but hundreds upon hundreds of other quests and random ones you come across at random times.
