I know I should've used ribbons but I just can't stand the fact of losing the buff in a boss battle and not being able to recast and use renew.
And no, I didn't miss it because I thought FFXIII was a game of it's own, just as earlier FF's. The bubble spell is simply one of the best spells but I can so no way how it would work with FFXIII since you do replenish all your health every battle and lose all buffs. Rebuffing and then heal every battle for additional health sounds more like a chore than useful.

Final Fantasy XII is one of my fave FF games due to it's huge areas, secrets everywhere, it's battle system, epic bosses, lots of side missions, Vaan, Gabranth and Balthier.
But I got to be honest when I say that Flare had no power. Doing an 9999 flare is nothing when you could've done that much quicker as a melee character with Haste. Even Ashe was one of my main melee characters. The only powerful and awesome spells FFXII is the ones outside of black magic.
Final Fantasy XII = epic.
FFXIII had alot of flaws, but the battle system changed epic looking spells to useful spells, which I like.
Ardor, Scathe and Flare takes forever. You got the spell queue plus the other characters who melee can continue attacking all the time. Making them rather useless unless you use a spell to make the enemy queue it's own spell.
I've only played 1 out of those. RE5 is really good. xP
I kind of liked it's swift combat. It was really good playing around doing all that stuff in the end game-post game until you got bored doing the same thing, same tactics, killing the same stuff, ran around the same place all the time. XD
