That's the question. Itsuno wanted to part with Dante and Vergil with 5 but Dante's too popular. Making DMC a multicharacter per game franchise might not be good for its health. Funny thing, in the original DMC, Kamiya wanted to have a playable Trish section. He also wanted a playable Baldur in Bayo2. Still. I don't think the game should force in more and more characters. I'd rather have one lead.
Same also can’t you play Trish in DMC 2 after hard difficulty and DMC 4 special edition?

Season 2 has been confirmed.
Really? I assumed that was a given. When the show was announced multiple seasons were either heavily implied or flat out stated.

Yes.

Edit
Saved the franchise? Was the franchise in danger? Pretty sure it's has been posting W's for the last few years.

Certainly seems like faulty reporting.

But you’re against it? I mean I only liked her because I get to use the Sword Sparda also ever wonder why she didn’t use its full power?

Yes and no. In 2, Trish is an unlockable character, she's an extra. That's common, or, was. There's nothing wrong with that. I definitely think 4 is character bloated. There are too many characters for too little a game. Trish, Lady and Vergil are not exactly unlockables, they are their own campaigns. It'd been better as unlockables. The difference in 4 is that the characters are restricted to the same levels as Dante and Nero. Yeah, same stages, for the most part, but, it's hard to play that game already and having to go through the same levels 6 times... Getting their own, full, campaign, is what I'd find ideal. One character would be more focused but if there must be multiple, I rather have them get their own stages, ala Separate Ways.

I think you might be misunderstanding me about the Trish and Baldur comment. That wasn't a 'thank god it didn't happen.' That was just a tidbit of history, a side comment. Do I wish they'd gotten their own levels? Yeah. To be honest, I really do.

Oh sorry <‘:) ya I get it I wouldn’t like replying same levels and getting your own campaign for each dose sound more ideal

Really? It's so blatant you might as well try deny the claims that there is obvious CG usage in the show because it's all hand animated or that water is wet. It's all over the show and it's not shy about it. Castlevania did the same thing. The religious figures are these radical, unapologetic, cartoonishly evil, 'In the name of God' a'holes. Worst of all, it's always Christians with this guy. I don't see a lot of evil hoodoo priests in your rosters.

In retrospect, Lady's lack of presence in the initial marketing outside of visuals makes a whole ton of sense given the whole, swearing and awful dialogue bit.

I've been thinking a bit after my second run at the show. I have more thoughts but I'll save them for later. The things that occured to me were, first, that I hope this isn't a He-Man situation where they take Dante out of the picture and make the second season about Lady. The other is that Bosch voicing Dante was a missed opportunity. Why not have him Voiced either Dante and Vergil or just Vergil? Vergil having a similar voice to Nero when he was young would've made more sense. Voicing Dante is still ok but they really should've given Vergil his voice, too.
