Plus they don't stink as much, don't tend to savage people and also don't foul the garden without burying it. I like an animal I can stroke without my hand being covered in grease or, worse, other animal crap that they've just rolled in.
I'd love a cat but all we have is this horrible rat-like dog of Steve's. He thinks cats are pointless and won't even entertain the idea of getting one...
You could try amazon marketplace - if that applies over there...or even an electrical secondhand store...there's no demand for them so they shouldn't cost too much and a lot of stores offer some sort of credit agreement so you can pay weekly or whatever...
If you lived over here, you could just come over to our place and pick one :lol:
Yeah, we gots loads coz I can't bear to chuck out my favourite films...you can get old TV/video combis for very little now. We've got about 6 thanks to a recent house clearance we were involved in and I have one in my office for when I get bored. Which is very often :lol:
