Resistance 1 was set in Britain, 2 was set in America and Retribution was set in Europe. Not sure about the Gathering Storm though.
On another note if you get a chance you should definitely play Killzone 2. It may not be as good as Resistance story-wise but gameplay and online are amazing

I sold both Resistance 1 and 2 a while back. I still have Resistance Retribution but no PSP to play it on.

Well Insomniac usually rotates between Ratchet and Clank one year and Resistance the next so since we saw Ratchet and Clank last year I think we could see a reveal of Resistance 3 this year.
