There are two lasers in each consol.
One for CD's and one for DVD's.
The DVD one usually burns out first and fast and most PS2 games are on DVD's, which means your screwed.

I wish that you would ask me before you added those plot changes though. The battle about the RTs and IT. You must understand, I run the RP, so it is my job to approve or dissapprove plot changes.
