It probably didn't change her opinon of you. And I can tell that you and nicole are diffently between friends and more than friends. To me it looks like she thinks of you as a friend, who could be a potenial boyfriend.

If Clair is is Nicole's best friend she is gonna be b*tchy towards you because she probably sees you as a threat to their friendship. (I know ppl like it.)
If Nicole decides to be more than friends with you Clair certainly won't like it... but she'll have to put up with it. It's not up to Clair who Nicole is friends with or seeing.
