Because he hasnt matured or developed. he acts nothing like how he does in the first game who was funny and mature. This Dante just acts like DMC 3 version which was great for that chapter of the saga but not for the older grizzled Dante
They could bring him in using The Order of the sword from DMC4. Instead of praising Sparda like god, they could follow Satan. Not sure what Satan would be like. I think I'd want to go for a female antagonist this time round seeing as we already had Mundus as banker.

Do you think we will eventually see satan himself? I imagine him as being the big ultimate villian. Like how God is to humans....some demoons worship as the creator and others think he,s just a story
What could he look like/what type of personallity? Evil, child well dressed man,seductive...

3. Mundus absorbs power.....
4. DanteVergil and a wounded Kat flee as...

Vergil stabbbed Mundus in the back...
I confused over just what Mundus really looks like
The bald man, ryder was said to be a host form/vessel for the mind and spirit of the demon king but in the las battle, the vessel becomes demonic looking and incapible of speech....was his giant form meant to be created in his true likeness...
Arkham and Arius?
Arkham is my top DMC villian, cunning, and totally vile...but with the new rebooted universe he can no longer have his master plan since he lusted for Sparda,s power (Destroyer of Mundus and his armies) but in the new universe Sparda is not top dog so how would you do Arkham...
