What will the new cutscene be?

So I've been thinking about this a bit since the news dropped and was wondering what you guys think'll show up in the new scene. There may be discussions in other forums about this but I believe it needs it's own thread.

The only things I can think of in a new cutscene are: a post Vergil's Downfall scene in which Vergil and his demon mates start killing people and Dante bursts out of his (unnamed) office to stop him. Or alternatively the new cutscene could be just another message from the order...

Those are my thoughts, what are yours?

Hopefully it's something relevant enough to justify the hype...

I guess it's either a cliffhanger ( if they indeed think about DmC 2 ) OR perhaps it's going to be Dante getting his shop, like the original series.

My guess would be when Dante was ****ed at Vergil after killing Lilith and blames him for the death of probably thousands. That would be a great cutscene, not gonna lie.

Edit: Wait, I didn't say the F word, I said "****ed". P---I---S---S---E---D.

The most likely cutscene would be the one that one guy mentioned.

With Dante and Vergil's uncle coming down to introduce the angels into the lore and involve them into the war. It'd make sense if it did make it in to confirm DmC 2 for us.

I hate the fact that this is what all the forums are coming to... and we all thought that the SE and DE would keep all fans happy. How naive we all were:) Perhaps all of us that are above this pettiness should create our own country or something!

On topic however, I hope that any cutscene would not point to any decisions made to the future of the series as I hope that the sales of the editions determine that. I think a simple cutscene showing Dante buying his future establishment would work...

Well I'm hoping there is more than one tho:blush:.

Im hoping it could a post credit scene where Dante and Kat decide to rebuild the order so they are looking over some of vergil's files and you would see some shout outs to other DMC characters and even other Capcom characters. Kind of like an easter egg Marvel/DC tends to do.:grumpy:

Thing is I wouldn't mind a cut-scene that is a legit crossover between the two. There is a artifact called the beast's head that was introduced in the second light novel that allowed Dante to traverse to a different timeline where Mundus won, Trish was still evil and Vergil was freed. So maybe something both dantes could touch the device and just catch a glimpse of each other and wonder what the heck was that.:angel:

I just tuned in to Capcom's stream and they said it's nothing that substantial, just an extra thing they had to cut out. They didn't wanna spoil it though.

Yeah I watched the stream too... I'm still pretty intrigued as to what it is though as Dante setting up shop isn't too substantial in my mind but perhaps it's just some more dialogue for Vergil.

He's just starting out in DmC. I would imagine something like setting up his shop is an event that would take time. Probably not up and running until the end of a hypothetical sequel or third game.

It's going to be one of two things:

Either...

A) It really will be a non-consequential scene and Capcom is trying to avoid backlash from people saying how stupid it is

or

B) It's going to tease a sequel and they're trying to downplay it so that we won't be as disappointed as we would be if they hyped it up.
