More Sword-based characters

So far Dante and Vergil are the only ones with blades.

But if there were more sword-based demon-killing fighters, what characters would you all have in mind for the next games?

(Note: I just really am glad to finally have an excuse to use this)

Sorry, it's a pet peeve of mine when machete's are referred to as a type of sword.
To put it simply, a machete's intended purpose is to be a large knife to be used for axe-like functions and CAN be used as a weapon, but even then, more like a hatchet.
That's why it's so scary in slasher movies, it's something that any nutjob can get their hands on

Dante and Vergil are the only nephilim we know of that can wield a bladed sword.

If there is gonna be angels... how about a rapier and knight longswords?

And demons? Perhaps scimitars and khopeshes.

I think the angels are more likely to use swords and traditional weaponry while demons are more likely to use their own apendages or whatever they can grab.

I'd like to see a character who uses a bokken or a wooden sword. it would have magic capabilities and such and could kill a demon with blunt force.

I'd like some zorro-like warrior to ally with Dante after the demons were revealed. One wielding a rapier.

And a villain from India who wields a scimitar.

Well a Jian would be cool and it would be funny if nero or credo had one.

I dont really see swords being a weapon most humans would use unless it has some enchantments like DragonMaster2010 was saying.

Angels can wield knight long swords, jians and rapiers.

Demons? That's a toughie.

Why can't we have more firearm users like Lady? That would actually be really cool. And only give a zweihander to Vergil when Nelo Angelo happens.

Seriously though, I have yet to see a hack 'n slash game where katars are used as a weapon. Formally known as punch-blades due to being used with a punching motion.

(If we weren't limiting this to just swords, I'd have voted for a naginata and a kanabo too.)
