When I started playing DmC on dmd mode for a little fun to pass the time I noticed that Dante would start to taunt the enemies on his own when I was stringing together long combos, getting high style rankings, and not getting hit.
And these aren't scripted lines like in mission four. Because this was happening in the lilith's club leves where, If I'm correct, there is no scripted sayings in that level and if there were they were definitely not what he was saying ,and I could make it happen in encounter after encounter as long as I was doing well.
Here are some quotes of what he was saying:
"Yeah!"
"Alright! "
"That's right!"
"Come on!"
"Woo Hoo!"
Update: "Ya like that?!"
Update: "Oh yeaaah!"
Update:"Yes!"
Update: "*something* Splat!" Or just: "Splat!"
I'm not saying it's a bad thing, it's actually really cool, it just that I've never heard of this before.
I'll try to get some video proof this later.
So, has anyone else experienced this?
Update: It seems like if you get hit even once he'll stop or won't talk for the rest of the fight.
Scratch that, he still taunts even if you get. But I still don't know the limit.
Remember I've only seen this occur in the devil's dalliance levels, I don't know If it works on other missions.
Update: What he says seems to be randomized.
Final Update: So yeah, turns out this nothing new and I got a little to excited over nothing. Too bad, I was really looking forward to Dante saying randomised taunts when you were doing good.
