Which do you perfer? When voting base this on gameplay,character,and voice actor. I like them both equally.

I like DmC Vergil better. We actually get to see why Vergil wants power. Also i can connect with this guy. dmc3 Vergil was just a heartless bastard with no meaning but power. Dont get me wrong dmc3 Vergil was a beast but, story wise i just didnt connect with him well.
I like DMC3 Vergil more. As far as story goes, I prefer DMC3's. DmC had a chance to take a new direction, and I'm not blaiming NT for this... I think it's Capcom's fault, but DmC tries to be way too close to DMC story-wise (Vergil's Downfall shows this imo). It's as if Capcom was like "alright, Vergil has to be evil..." and they threw VD together and were like "Alright, he's evil now. Reasoning for it? I dunno... we just made him kill Dante, talk to his mother, and stuff like that".
Gameplay wise... DmC for sure. I don't really have an opinion over their voices.
Overall, I like DMC3 Vergil due to his personality. He was honorable, and calm-minded... two things that DmC Vergil does not have... at least, I wouldn't say so. There was also room for assumptions, so I always thought DMC3 Vergil would have become a hero if he never became Nelo Angelo. I just can't picture DmC Vergil becoming good, ever.

Pretty much my answer. I was going to say that I liked his personality; calm and intelligent yet on the inside has issues of his own. I like his pimp outfit too.

Aw, that ain't fair.
I liked DMC3 Vergil because he was ruthless, dark, and cared nothing for honor in order to reach his goals. Plus he was the first actual DMC character I ever saw because I was such a katana nerd back then.
But I've grown to like DmC Vergil because he wasn't just fabricated out of no where like DMC3 Vergil. He was actually good once upon a time but wanted more. He slowly became the Vergil that DMC3 is like. And I liked that actual character growth that he goes through.
But all and all,

I thought DMC3 Vergil's best line was "I've come to retrieve my power. You can't handle it."
Anyway, I prefer DmC Vergil more. I know most people think he's weak, and maybe he does start off that way "physically" (I hate windows 8 always changing what I write >.<!!!!) but he seems more like the type to slit your throat while your sleeping, all the while smiling in the day and pretending to be Mr perfect MC' Fancy pants. I find that a hell of a lot creepier because I like to know my enemies and with DMC 3 Vergil you at least knew where you stood. Reboot Vergil is more the slimy type and he'll sell you beach front property in Arizona if you let him.
I also have to say that I loved the "stop running Dante line" like several others already mentioned; he sounded completely unhinged right there lol.
