What are your favorite anime and Manga of all time

Me, I'm a berserker. Hell, my first video on youtube is 40 minutes of me fanboying about Berserk.

I also like History's Strongest disciple Kenichi. Badass stuff.

And of Course, WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK I AM! I'M A CERTIFIED MEMBER OF TEAM DAI GURREN, BABY!

My least favorites:

Neon Genisis Evangelion. Because, say it with me now, people (audience in sync) **** NGE!

I also hated MM. Dysfunction Juntions aren't my cup of tea.

Finally, the ones I hated the most were Lady Snowblood and Crying Freeman. One volume in for Crying Freeman, and my reaction was "This **** is why people think anime is ultraviolent porn". My reaction to Lady Snowblood boiled down to "Oh, **** everything about this!" and tossing the book away. It's like someone wrote a cheap 1970's exploitation film into graphic novel form.

-DragonBall and Dragonball Z(my childhood)
-MM! (I personally love MM! because it is truly funny and I like how it's unlike any other anime. The entire concept of it just makes for an interesting show that definitely is more entertaining than most in its genre which follows are very straightforward formula. A lot of people can relate with the characters whether they freely admit it or not.)

-Samurai Seven(I like Seven Samurai which it's losely based off of but this was just stupid.)

You're fine man. No worries. I'll see if I can explain without making a fool outta myself.

At the time it was one of the animes that stood out to me. Granted I haven't seen it in ages, but from what I remembered, I know it had a lot of deep symbolic meaning behind it and it was interesting to see how the characters were effected both physically and psychologically by the events that were occurring throughout the show. Almost like a character study taken to the extreme. It was intense, unpredictable and left me on the edge constantly.

There, I hoped that made sense. I suck at explaining things sometimes. ^_^

Oh I almost forgot, do anime movies count? I freakin loved Akira.

Most of the anime on my faves list, I also have in managa, but also: Bizenghast, Peach girl Sae's story, Vassalord, and Genshiken

None that I hate, but I just couldn't get into Deadman wonderland and I never saw the big deal with One Piece or Naruto. Sorry fans of those.>_<
 
Omg there's more I forgot.

I used to be into Yu-Gi-Oh on and off as well as Mew Mew Power (I like magical girl stuff too. Can't help it. The inner Sailor Moon hasn't grown outta me just yet x3).

I'm interested in PPGZ, I've only seen a wee bit but it's interesting seeing how the Japanese portray The Power Puff Girls another childhood favorite of mine. I liked what I saw so far.

I was sorta into Inuyasha but that show dragged on forever.

I freakin' hated Digimon. I don't know why I just did lol.

And much to my ever loving shame, I watched Kodomo no Jikan. If you look pass all that loli stuff (and I mean it had tons of it) you'll find a good story underneath.

Least favourites:
As typical and generic as it'll sound, Naruto.
I tried watching it, legitimately tried, but everything about it is dragged out absolutely mercilessly. It is not entertaining to watch for me, at all.

Somewhere in betweens:
Death Note.
(SPOILERS for anyone who hasn't seen it.)


Amazing anime, absolutely bloody flawless, RIGHT up until the episode just after L dies.
Everything after that just went so downhill, so fast, and the ending, jesus christ the ending. I stand by my belief that Death Note would have been utterly unforgettable and would have probably gone down as a hallmark if they just had the stones to let Light win, or at least have his victory over L be a massive key point for the character, where it either ends an episode after that, or a few episodes after follow his ruling the world and continual downward spiral into insanity.

I unfortunately have very limited tastes when it comes to anime... Basically, if it's not DBZ or a mecha show, I have trouble liking it. But I absolutely hate dark anime like Elfen Lied, Full Metal Alchemist, Darker Than Black, and Witchblade...

Surprisingly enough I like the NGE reboot movies though.
