DmC Dreamrunner Strategy

Another Video: Training for Bloody Palace
Dante Must Die No Damage No Devil Trigger 2 dreamrunners + witch mission 17 Its Dodge Time

Thought some DmC Fans might find this enjoyable, I'm sorta obsessed with the game's combat system, and I just figured out how to own dreamrunners with jump cancelling kablooey. I think everyone can agree that I show this dreamrunner who is boss.

You should JC all 6 darts on the Dreamrunner. It can be done without the Dreamrunner ever touching the ground. I think you need to do the JC faster. Also, trillion stabs the Dreamrunner and end with Stinger to stun him.

Yeah I can do it. I think the enemy AI in DmC adapts to repeated attacks, he starts countering JCs also, but yeah, I"m getting much better at it.

Normally I use Kablooey as a finisher. Add darts at the beginning, end the enemy with Detonate. Do it like that and you'll only have to JC him for one occasion. Also, he won't counter if you JC Kablooey him right after a launcher such as High Time.

I can tell you it doesn't. If it did, millions of Dream Runners a year wouldn't fall victim to "Eryx to the face" itis.

To a limited degree it does adapt, but Eryx is design to plow through defenses when charged, so yeah, Dreamrunners tend to fall victim to "flaming Hulk fists to the face"-istis

just shoot him with E&I and demon grab him to stun him.... change up your long range or closing in attacks to build your style up. If he teleports just demon grab him out, or demon dodge, or erycs punch him.

I remember when i first played him, he felt so over powering, but now i'm more aggressive than he is and it's like he's relying on teleporting to get away from me.... sucks for him though

Fully charged Eryx launch, meet Dreamrunner. Dreamrunner, meet fully charged Eryx launch.

Some Jap player already figured that out in a video posted on the facebook page. I take it that's where you got your inspiration? Pretty douchy of you to claim it as your discovery, granted you're even doing the exact same mission and monster.
Hell you're not even doing it right

That's the easiest mission to find a dreamrunner... so naturally any player will just go to it when he/she wants to practice against it.

Its just for fun. It's not a guide or anything. Calm down. IF anything I didn't want to do a video of timed Eryx punches, that's why I killed him using kablooeys. Anyway, heres another video in prep for Bloody Palace. I wanted to challenge myself on Dante Must Die Mission 17 to do the witch + 2 dream runners battle with no damage and no devil trigger after a while I finally succeeded.

P.S. I can take care of dreamrunners just fine. I just wanted to do it using another method. Since everyone falcon punches, however in this battle in mission 17 good luck saving up your trusty falcon punch. And they do adapt, they're brutal at parrying on DMD. Unless you can manipulate the AI its a nightmare to fight two of them at once.

Oh Soupie, btw, you can't prime Dreamrunners with kabloeeys, if they go into a portal then the darts go away. So its a little easier than done to set up darts for the final demon dodge detonation kill.

Hence why I've done it like this.
You just need to have an understanding of how many hits it takes to defeat the Dreamrunner and you're fine.

i've tried everything including this against 2 dreamrunners, I'm not really satisfied with any of the ways to combat them. They all either take too long, are boring to do, or don't raise your style meter enough. the only enemy in the game like it.

Also fighting 2 dreamrunners is probably harder than fighting vergil.

Try to do a video of the battle with the 2 dreamrunners and witches. I want to see if your kabloeey technique works the same on those guys. I swear their ai is more aggressive in that mission.
