DMC PC version crashes near the end of Mission 2

So I was enjoying the game so far, until I reached that hallway after Dante recovers his memory, and as soon as the place gets wrapped by Limbo, the game CTD.

I tried adding DMC to DEP's exceptions and running it as administrator but still nothing, the game still crashes at the exact same part.


My Specs:

CPU: I3 3220 3.30GHz
GPU: GTX 650 2GB
RAM: 4GB DDR3
OS: Windows 8 64 bit

Have you tried rebooting your computer? Maybe you should reinstall the game too if it doesn't work.

Did both things, still crashing.

Not saying you didn't buy the game but, did you? It's common for a game to crash when it's a pirate version. Happened to me back in 2010 when I downloaded Dead Space 2. I can still remember going through a door on chapter 7 iirc, and the game crashing.
If it's a legit steam version, try defrag and verify the cache. If something is wrong, Steam will correct it.

If it doesn't, try the Steam forums for the game as CheeseKao suggested. I had a problem with Magicka and they had the answers, thankfully.

In an unrelated note, I can't buy DmC on Steam. I knew I should've pre-ordered. :/

I've had no problems yet. What settings are you running it on?

My specs are lower than that and i'm running it smoothly. On 800 resolution lol
