Bloody Palacy is Back!

You know what ****es me of ? that the DLC is free ...that;s why is stupid to not have it in the game disc...I will pay 50 euro tomorrow for the game...why not have all the extras for the game ? for me they shoulda have included both DLC's in the game....then it would get a hell of a reception...F*** the DLC's man

Only 100 floors?

Take a look at DMC4's first level design, and then compare it to DmC's level design.

If every level in DmC's Bloody Palace is filled with as much art direction as Limbo. Or it could be like Liliths game show with the floors being able to hurt you, or even scripted levels where the walls are slowly closing in on you and you have a set time to be that specific level.

If the new BP is just like the other one's, i'm sure it will be fine too, but i cannot imagine NT not wanting to add a little bit more it. Or even give a proper explanation for the BP.
 
It is kinda sad that if some people can't get updates Bloody Palace will be completely unplayable for them.

Btw, I believe Rumors, the guy knows his stuff *wink*

But if it is true that indeed Bloody Palace was in the game from the beginning and they removed it just to give it away as a free update later on seems rather.... rather ridiculously dumb business practice, hell I think they might even be losing money by doing this. Unless they are trying to throw it all out as a "Gold Edition" later on so that people who couldn't get Bloody Palace can now get it from the disk.

Or maybe Capcom wanted to look like the good guys and say "hey look, we giving you away free DLCs now, how cool are we?" or something...

Perhaps because it wasn't ready and they didn't want to just shove it on the disc unpolished and unfinished.

That would be extremely interesting. Now I want to hear Ninja Theory's explanation for Bloody Palace, I hope it happens. :)

Yeah that does suck if you don't have internet access. Do you have a friend who has interenet access? Because then you could just take your system to their house download the update and then you would never have to worry about it again! Bloody Palace would be forever yours. :)

Maybe they haven't finished it yet :/

are you willing to wait another 6 months? i sure as hell am not. Plus every couple of months in 2013 you'll be getting more content to DmC.

I think a reason for them to not include BP or Vergils Downfall is to keep the game in peoples hands for more than 1 month. Prototype 2 had free content every other week for like 3 months or so, so for just under a half a year i was playing brand new content.

Or even PS3 owners who are unfortunate enough to not have internet within their homes. It's another reason why I don't like DLC that's released later for free instead of being included in the game.

Although I'm not saying that DmC is the only game that did this. There was RE6 as well with it's free On Disc DLC.

yea it does suck if people don't have xbox live or just internet at all. But when i didn't have the internet, i just made my phone a hot spot and downloaded demos all day.

Well i have but it's far and i don't know when i'll go there again :/
 
The question is will we be able to use Vergil in the bloody palace mode? Would it be a bad thing or a good thing if he was playable in this mode?

Nothing but good!
It would give people an option on how to approach Bloody Palace with a different playstyle, and even give more replayability to it by giving you another character to play as.

that sucks man, I've actually taken my ps3 and my tv to a starbucks (i work next to one) and upgraded my system for free!! lol there are plenty of ways to find the interent.
 
I dislike DLC's, but I think of it this way... I just think back to older games, and how DLC's could have improved them.

Like, take Dragon Ball Z: Budokai 3 for example. It's an amazing game, but it really lacked content-wise. The majority of characters feel unfinished, with clear possibilities in additional moves (eg. Krillan could have been given the scatter beam as a dragon rush finisher... hell, they even added Cell Jr into the game with only one ability). If back then they could have added DLC for extra moves then I would have been more than happy to buy it.

It all depends on the situation. If publishers obviously plan for DLC's just for the sake of making extra money... then yeah, that annoys me (CoD in an example of this... 3 dollars per map, a huge joke imo). However, if publishers plan for DLC's to compliment the base game, or add content that they were planning to have on-disk, but could not... then that's fine with me.

Thats not how games work. You cant just pull **** out of a game, that breaks everything and requires a major code overhaul.

NT have already stated that they haven't had as much development time as usual so it's very likely that they were focusing everything on the story until people requested Vergil and Bloody Palace.

Hmm? Not necessarily, if you make everything separately and then put it together into a final build. Just like how you make a demo, you can make a Bloody Palace mode... and then integrate them into the game just like how you integrate a DLC into a game. I wasn't saying they had the entire game with Bloody Palace in it, I was saying they had it done and it was just not put into the final build just because...

Of course, it's all speculation, I'm not stating this is what happened. I was going by what Rumors said.

I cant tell how i know but can tell the other things.
BP is the easiest mode to make.
They can do it in a very short time (if i say the exact time it wouldnt be ethical.)
They worked on this game for years (*years!*)
I told you that guys before : This game took DMC3 as model.

And the reason why they made BP as an DLC: actually some of you guys already guessed it almost true.
Dont stuck on this, enjoy what you got.

Ok,I am going to go by the fact you do not know me and you think I will go by someone else word, one they said game update, but whatever.

As I said if you have proof of things show it, don't give me the trust me I know this because I don't trust anyone word who likely knows just as much as I do and to me it seems they wanted to do BP but did not know if it was wanted and saw it was and decided to work on it and boom here it is, no one is stuck on anything since I expect people to ask for proof if someone comes acting like they know more then others if you do back it up otherwise your just guessing like everyone else but trying to pass it off as fact and that you know something.

Actually people are currently spreading around that you don't get it unless you pre order and yelling about it form what ive been reading
