Has Vergil been confirmed to be in the game?

I have read some recent posts that made me wonder if Vergil is really confirmed or not, because the way they address it, it sounds like he is. I would just like to know if he is or not and if he is then where does it say so? I hope someone can enlighten me, thanks. ^^

I don't think he has been confirmed, maybe I am just looking too much into people's theories and wishes on how they want Vergil to be like if he is in the game. I just wanted to get some facts on the table so I have something to go on instead of guessing. XD

That's just theory though. It's not fact until confirmed by NT/Capcom, unfortunately. There's a 50% chance it might be Vergil, there's also a 50% chance that it might NOT be Vergil.

but we will see, and it is 99% to be Vergil. it is very important for Vergil to in this game. The voice said he will remain hidden from Mundus. I can only think about Vergil. Mundus only hunts down Sparda's twin.

I'd find it to be a great relief. I love the old vergil too much. I couldn't love two of them.

I haven't seen/heard anything confirming Vergil. If he's that guy talking to Dante, he must be helping him... yay for brotherly love! Assuming they are going to be brothers if he is in there.

I think since the fans love Vergil so much, they are really desperate to have him at the game. Therefore each time something hints at someone we don't know, they immediatelly throw millions of theories about how this guy "must be" Vergil.

Happened with DMC4 and Nero back then a lot.

I know this vid has been posted twice already, but I decided to post it here for the sake of convenience. We'll have to wait and see whether or not this is Vergil. I think it is, because in the Divine Comedy, Vergil acted as a guide, and while Kat's the one guiding him here, the man in the dark suit recommended her to Dante. He also said "Mundus doesn't know that I exist, so lay low." That's also something to consider. Either way, if he's helping Dante now, it will most likely mean he'll betray him later on. The suit says that he's a man of power, but is trying to blend in at any cost. He's kind of the same but at the same time the exact opposite of Dante (like in DMC3), who also hides but has no problem attracting attention when he sees any wrongdoing, like when the demons attacked him or when he sees this poor guy in a number 5 t-shirt drinking an evil demonic product (Sierra Mist).

It's ironic, thats how I feel about Half Life, but alot of the time, Fan theories make more sense, like in Star Wars, the fan theories on what the clone wars was, was 20% cooler (actually much cooler than that.) than what it turned out to be
