If it is,I know Vivendi means Lives doesn't it?So it would say Mundus lives.

Yeah it was like a little DMC Easter Egg of sorts. It does mean 'Mundus Lives'. I think it clarifies what we all knew anyway, since Dante didn't properly defeat Mundus at the end of Devil May Cry 1 as we're all aware.

okay most of us all knew he was still alive proof dmc 1 ending when dante beat him mundus says ill return then dante say say hello to my son for me and he will most probably come back 1000's of years later when dante wont be there or maybe will be there

Mundus is alive because Dante did not kill him.
So that's all it means.
Though I do indeed believe that we will see him again in the future.

One of the best Easter Eggs in the game. Back before the game was only known through trailers, I remember discussing countless possibilities about him being in the game, which all turned out to be wrong of course. Still nice it isXD
