The stoping points are the same but the journey is way different. Dmc dante went into the matrix while old school Dante went into Trigun as the lone funny ass gunman who outskilled everyone except his brother.

A long long time, I used to hang out at this site. Some of you might know it. When DmC got announced, everyone threw a **** fit. Naturally, as expected, I was completely level headed and neutral. >:3 But I digress, back to the story. Some of us decided, hell why not, let's make our OWN Devil May Cry! Unfortunately, none of us even remotely knew game code....I mean, we couldn't even make a cheap **** metroidvania knockoff. But, we DID have a couple of good artists, and a couple of good writers.

We started putting some ideas together, and we actually had a decent enough concept for a fan webcomic thingy. We got started on some character concept art, storyboards, the works - it was actually really looking good! Unfortunately, the admin of the site was a real brainless tit who didn't keep up with payments for the forum, and ultimately didn't really care to bring them back up. So, the whole thing was abruptly killed off. I don't even know where everyone else is.

Fortunately for you shiny, happy beautiful people, I still have the original concept art and materials. Somewhere...in some crevice in one of my external HDD's, buried under a mountain of fetish porn and dubious financial paper trails. Hence, the option is still on the table. Up to you whether you wanna take it, or if you don't give a **** or don't want to be bothered. Now, if you choose to whine...well, now a small part of you can be blamed for that at least.

EDIT: Okay, seriously, the P-word that denotes urination is now serious censor-worthy...? CHANGE THE RULES!

But the writing is SET on Dante going through Limbo. Just like without demons exsisting, it wouldn't matter since he's half of what he hunts and that too would be nullified. Taking out what makes the story in the first place would make no sense in BOTH continuities.

Don't ask me how they come up with idea that demons can't do much in normal world. Meaning neither is Dante. (he can't even activate his sword in human world if I remember what i read from NT). So uhhh. That basically makes next instalment Dark Knight Rises. Batman film without batman.

At the end of DmC, the demons are in the real world, and Dante has to kill them along with fighting his brother. The humanc could probably handle the smaller variety of demons, but ones like the tank, saws, and bosses are the ones Dante has to deal with.
It's not that much close to the Dark Knight Rises because the world still needs Dante.

well than i get back to the start of discussion, and point that if this is the case, Dante himself effectively murdered millions upon millions of humans by releasing demons in the world, since he can't simultaneously save everyone

Guys for the love of God could we not do the "let's make every thread a DMC vs DmC thread" ? Seriously is it 2013 again? Let's stay on topic.

On topic: I do hope that Capcom at least make one final DMC game as we deserve at least one more new game with new levels and new bosses. They may just kill DMC because they're Capcom and they just haven't the imagination to continue it anymore or they don't see the series' potential. Honestly I'm pessimistic as to DMC's survival... Hack n' Slash isn't as popular as generic shooters or Gears of War type of generic third person games so Capcom may not care for the series anymore because it won't make them hugely rich.

@Frazz: Too little, too late. Sorry mate, but obviously some people don't understand what past warnings are all about and continue to try to run the same show over and over again. Sorry, but show's cancelled. Since I'm sick and tired of being a broken record stuck on the "Enough DMC vs DmC" part.

You guys who think that enough means continue instead of enough is enough, you've got a lot to learn. This whole thing stops, whether you like it or not.
