Why can't we get along?

I thought after seeing the Da3dra's thread earlier I would post a friendly reminder to everyone here this is the internet. There are allot of people on it, so you won't like all of them.

For instance,

I don't like Esura much.

Nothing against you, Esura. But we just haven't gotten along that well have we?:lol:

That doesn't mean we attack eachother over this site.

And Bringerofchaos888, even though I don't approve of his constant use of curse-words and references to porn, even though we have had an epic forum fight that lead to both of us getting banned ahwile ago, we have managed to exist on the same site here since then without incident.

Both people I don't get along with are even on my friends list for cripes sake. Even if it is just cause I never revoke friend requests.

Nothing against either of you by the way^_^ I acknowledge that the fact I take issue with you is my problem and it is not your problem that you are who you are.

What I am getting at is, why can't we all just get along here? If you don't like someone else here, don't take it to a personal level. Everyone is different, if someone isn't your type of person, remember that is who they are, if you don't like them it is YOUR problem not theirs.

Anyway I thought we could use a thread for saying who we don't like, why we don't like them, and what are we going to do to get along? Or at least exist toghether.

Like what I did in the white text.

Post up the names of people you have a beef with, a respectful little bit regarding why, and then post a way you think you can deal with being on this site toghether. Even if it is as simple as "I will simply not talk to this person much"

Especially if it is me you have an issue with, I'm actually curious as to who doesn't like me here.

Because it's the internet and anyone can do/say/act how they want. No should even get wound up in the first place other than Daedra being a drama queen. The oly people who get wound up are 13 year olds. If people don't like the way the internet works, then you shouldn't even be online.

So few people are mature on the internet that it's unreal, everyone can be people who they're, in truth, not, or they can take who they are to extremes, people act like jackasses because they can, sure, the staff here do a good job at keeping this place in check, but it doesn't change the fact that there are people like that.

Furthermore, there are people who come online craving attention, attention whores, they're lovingly known as, and they can't be gotten rid of either, it's the sad truth that the internet will never be 100% mature, and then, it even comes down to the basic human instinct of conflict, people will fight each other, and it can't be helped, but people fight ach other for the most arbitrary and pointless reasons that it's not even worth mentioning.

Still, we can't all get along, I don't mean to sound rude, but if you think thay everyone here can get along and not fight, then you may as well wish for fairies to descend from the tree of wishes, bestowing gum-drop kisses and happiness to all the good children of the land.

Sure, I'd like for all of us to get on nicely, and in a friendly fashion, but the sad truth is, on the internet, and in real life, there are far too many people who are both too petty not to fight, and just fight for the sake of it.

Sparda™ on the top of the list

nothing personal he is a cool person and he cares about everyone and tries to help by doing whatever he can but in the past few days i feel disgusting when i see his new sig. i thought of disabling the sigs but that would be unfair for the rest of the members.

Biohazard master is the second

i don't know what is the problem but ever since he joined dmc.org we always fight and the people around us gets hurt becuse of it. and i don't know why we fight. we start talking normally and then BAM we are fighting and after a while we talk normally like nothing happened.

It's just like NerosDevil said. The Internet is a god awful place. It is a place where any one can get away with almost anything they could never get away with outside of the internet. Internet tough guys/personal army are everywhere, and best you can do is just not to feed them what they want. They want you to get p*ssed, and the more you talk back and argu, no one will win. :/ It'll just go on and on.

I've had some pretty terrible sh*t said to me in the past, but as I said to The Da3dra, not everyone is going to like you. Then again, I can be a pretty down right mean little f*cker myself to people (online and off), but ONLY if they are asking for it/being down right stupid unlike the god damn tools of the internet who just do it 'for the lulz' when no one is laughing with them.

I've never had any trouble with people here or any one any where else in a damn long time. I just stay out. It's pointless really when they'll most likely cry out a call to arms, but whatev. I don't like sugarcoating sh*t, and I sure hate ass-kissing (which is pretty damn present here on the forums), but it's everywhere and it's not going to stop.

I'll end it like this... Don't dish out what you can't handle. If you can't take the heat and fact not EVERYONE here is going to love you and kiss your e-boo boos when someone hurts your feelings, then just get off. That's really all there is to it. :/

i even banned myself over a problem i had with her

well problems are found everywhere in life and in internet its just that they shouldnt be taken way too seriously in any of the 2 :lol:

I get along with most of the people here. I don't have a big problem with anyone, I did have a problem with Esure and Sparda(tm) when they first started, but now we are okay.
I know that arguments will happen, and that some people will take it too far, but if you don't rise to it then you should be fine. But if you do rise to it, then expect and accept your punishment...

And thats never going to happen is it unless some magical chicken pops from a bush and grants an infinite base of wishes, it's about as likely as that. 13 year olds ARE the one's who get offended, because it pertains to a touchy age group that shouldn't be online in the first place; CONSIDERING the internet is 80% porn alone.

That's pretty childish. If It would be that disturbing, someone would have said something in the first place.

Back on topic though, this is very Utopian as an idea - having everyone getting along - as It can never ever happen. There will always be misunderstandings and people committing mistakes and all that.
