It seems everyone has a story.... But I guess mine, is a bit different.
My name is Resa Rose Moon. I grew up in a happy household until I was five. But one day, that all changed. My family wa murdered my a man named Kyrian. He's brutal, cruel and most of all Pure Demon. Me, myself, being part Demon, was almost murdered. But for some reason, he let me live. And I moved on to live in a foster home until I was eight... Then he appeared again. This time, he kidnapped me.

Until I was 19, he trained me to become a killer. But killing isn't my train of thought. During training, if I didn't do well enough, he'd beat me. Beat me... Until I thought I was going to die....

But that one day I fought back, was the day I made it out with my life. I left him for dead... Guess that was his punishment for training me to do what I did.

Even today, that still sounded reasonble.

Now, I live by myself and run a bar called the "Knight's Bar" and I hunt in my spare time. Amazing, eh? Well, it was just recently I was out hunting, and... HE attacked me during my job.

I really hoped he was dead. I truly did... But I guess my hopes are dead....

And time's running out.

"Damnit." Resa replied holding her arm, trying to keep it from bleeding. She had just returned back to the Knights Bar. AFter her attack. "He's back... ****, I should've saw this coming..."

Albel walked the streets outside of the Knight's Bar, as a favour to Resa he acted a routine patrol, keeping the demons after her at bay. It was little more than sport and entertainment to him really, just as he finished the evening's rounds, he saw Resa running into the bar, clutching her arm. Intrigued, he followed behind her.

"Patrol complete, relatively clear this evening...Shame, I was itching for a fight." Albel looked down at her arm, noticing the blood trickling from the wound.

"...Resa, what happened to you?"

Resa looked at him, she gave him a small smile, then said, "Oh, this? I wasn't paying attention and got hit by a sword." She was lying. "I just need to get a bandage on it. I'll be fine, I swear."

She quickly walked over to her medical cabaint, and started looking for the bandage. While, doing so, the image re-played over in her mind...

"If you say so..." His eyes followed Resa's arm as she moved to the medicine cabinet.

"No sword could make that kind of wound...Hmph, if she doesn't want to talk then there's no sense pressing the issue." He thought to himself, he wiped the blood clean from his own blade before placing it back in its sheath.

"I might be so inclined to go out hunting later tonight, the pickings this evening were far too weak for my tastes, with any luck I might find something to fight that's actually worth my time and effort."

He sat down at a bar stool, reaching behind the counter and pouring himself a foul looking drink before placing a few coins down on the table.

"Should cover it."

He knocked back the unpleasant liquid, shook his head and then placed the glass upside down on the bar.

Resa looked over at him. "Hey, I'll be over in a minute to make you a better drink." she bandage her arm, the best she could. Closing the cabiant, she looked down. Then she quickly went over, standing behind the counter. "Okay, what can I get you?"

She noticed Albel's face. Something told her, he didn't buy the lie. "Hey, I'm fine. It's not like I'm dead." She chuckled, then realized it wasn't funny.

Angelo Credo

"I know full well you're lying about what happened, no sword causes an injury like that, but if you won't tell me then so be it, I shan't press the issue."

Albel looked down at the empty cup, then back up at the woman stood in front of him.

"Hmm...Get me anything, anything that doesn't taste as if a demon vomited in a cup..."

Resa turned around. "A coffee it is." she replied.

"Hey, Albel..." She started, wondering if it'd be a good idea. "I'm thinking about... Taking a vacation... Want to tag along? It'll be for about three weeks."

She turned around and handed him the coffee. "I'll be leaveing in the morning."

Angelo Credo

"Hmm, thanks."

Albel stood up, carrying his coffee, he paused for a moment before taking a sip.

"A vacation? And where might that be?" He replied, taking another sip of his coffee, he walked towards the front door, propping it open to let a little air in before sitting back down at the bar.

She shrugged. "I dunno, where. Maybe when I get there, I'll be there." She gave him one of her smiles. "I'll just go..." Far from Kyrian. "Somewhere... Warm. Nice tropical. Ya know."

Thing is, she didn't know. And she hoped what she said had made sense to him. Because the words didn't make sense to her.

"I need to clam down... He can't find me here... I should be safe..."

Angelo Credo

"Whatever you're running from will find you, it doesn't matter where you go, it's impossible to run from your problems, eventually you have to face them head on...But I suppose I shall come with you if you're truly insistent on this idea."

He sighed deeply, Albel always wondered how he'd manage to get himself into these situations, though he was bound by his word to protect the girl before him for as long as she needed it, so there wasn't a great deal that could be done.

"I feel like little more than a lapdog at times...Nothing like the valiant warrior I used to be. The great Albel the Wicked, reduced to escort duty..." He thought to himself, letting out another deep sigh.

Resa looked at him. "Ya know... I don't understand you..." She replied. "You're here to protect me... And yet, you see perfectly well, that I'm fine here by myself."

Then she looked away, and turned her back on him. "Once your finished, your more then welcome to go home and get some rest." she said quietly. "You need to be ready to go first thing."

Albel's eyes shot straight to Resa's arm.
"If you were fine here by yourself you wouldn't have ended up with that injury, don't be so quick to dismiss my assistance...Look, it's still bleeding through, come here."

He stood up and grabbed her arm, ripping one of the thicker pieces of fabric from his purple and gold sarong, he wrapped the wound tighter to cease the bleeding.

"There, at least learn to wrap your wounds properly before you spout off about not needing help...Anyway, I think I may listen to you for once, I'm going home for the night, you know where to find me when you decide to go off on your little adventure."

He turned around and made off for the door, moving the chair he'd previously propped it open with, he stepped outside and was hit by a barrage of rain.

"Hmph, just what I need. Goodnight Resa."

Resa nodded. "Goodnight."

Kyrian walked the streets towards the bar. "She's nearby, I can sense it." he told himself.

The rain pelted hard, soaking Albel's clothes through to the bone, he grew cold and wanted nothing more than to be at home to try and capture what little rest he could afford himself.
Lightning lit the night sky, illuminating the dark, lonely streets, every so often something caught Albel's attention, just out of the corner of his eye, something was there but he couldn't quite see it.

He drew his sword and slowed his pace, swathing back his soaking wet hair out of his eyes, the hairs on the back of his neck stood up on end, a cold shiver shot down his spine, it was unlike anything caused by the cold of the rain, it was something else.

A thunderclap ripped through the sky, the noise deafening, the accompanying lightning lit up the streets like a Christmas Tree, again the same dark figure in the corner of his eye.

Albel's heart began racing, he'd never known fear before, but this was unlike anything he'd ever felt before, whatever this creature was, it was powerful, more powerful than he, more a monster that plagues a person's mind, breaking them down, making them feel insecure.

And it was succeeding, Albel had never felt so uncomfortable, so insecure before. He stopped dead, wondering just for a moment about Resa's safety, he knew what was out there, to some extent at least and he knew that he couldn't go home now.

He retraced his steps, slowly working his way back to the bar.

Resa was cleaning the bar. It was emtpy tonight, so that made it easier for her. But each time she reached for an emtpy beer bottle or wine glass, it seemed as if memories from her past echoed in them. Bad memories.

"Maybe I need a drink?" she muttered to herself out loud.

It's not like her to drink. But it seemed tonight, she was in need of one. Something in away to make the pain stop. But, then again, who or what could make the past more bearble? When friens where around, she would laugh and go on with them... But...

She shook her head.stalking o the kitchns with the glasses and bottles. She threw out the bottles, then put the glasses in the sink and began to run the hot water. She then headed for the fridge and pulled out a bottle of beer and opened it.

Before she was able to slip it, someone had entered the bar. "Damn, should've turned out the lights out front." she walked back through the kitchen and put the bottle on the counter.

"Sorry." She yelled, coming through the doors that led back into the bar. "You need to lea..."

Her eyes widen, and before she was able to dodge, a sword preiced through her shoulder. When she looked up, two amber eyes looked back at her. "Kyrian!"

"Ah, so this is where you disappeared too, Resa Moon." he laughed, as he pulled his hood off his face. "We were having fun eariler, why did you leave?"

Resa didn't answer, which resulted to a slap across her face. She looked back at him, with hatered in her eyes. Her sword and guns where across the room... If only she could get too them...

The rain eased off somewhat, lightning still lit the backdrop of the surroundings though. Albel turned a corner, am emblazoned neon sign reading "Knight's Bar" hung just ahead, he picked up the pace, his walk shifting to a sprint.

He reached the bar, the door was wide open.

"Strange, I swear I shut this behind me when I left..."

He backed up against the wall, sword still in hand, he peeked round the open door into the bar, stools, chairs and tables were thrown everywhere and along the back wall was Resa, being stared down by a demon.

Albel surveyed the situation, he saw her guns lying on the floor, a few feet away from here, he caught her eye and mouthed a sentence to her.

"Don't move a muscle, I know what to do."

The demon turned round, Albel hid back behind the wall, hoping the demon hadn't yet noticed him, all he had on his side was the element of surprise, he knew that he alone was no match for this beast, he needed Resa's help, he slowly edged his head round the door frame, the demon turned back round to face the girl, seemingly engaging her in conversation.

He quietly stepped into the bar, his sword still in hand, he recited an incantation in his head.

"Flames from the bowels of Hell I call upon you, bend to my will and return this pathetic beast to your warm embrace."

A black fire sprung from his metal claw, wrapping itself around his hand and feeding back into a focal point in his palm. Albel sprinted towards the demon, he somersaulted into the air before grabbing the beast by the skull, the black flame erupted from his palm.

"Burn!" He screamed, the pulse of flame gave off such an almighty force that the entire bar shook, the beast was propelled through the floor into the wine cellar below, but it wasn't over yet.

He turned to face Resa.

"Resa, your weapons, go!" He barked at her.

Resa stood there for a moment, then took off towards her weapons. She quickly grabbed them, and ran towards the exit. Knowing that Kyrian might be behind them or still clutching his face. They need to come up with some sort of plan. And quick.

This is Kyrian's game. And he's not going to stop until he's knocked all the players down. Hunting and killing, or kidnapping people are the games that Kyrian never looses at. And since she is now apart of this game... She knew it was going to be tough to get out. And now Albel's with her...

Thing's are just starting to heat up.

Resa knew that Kyrian wouldn't care who Albel was. He'd kill him either way... And Resa...

"Albel!" she called out. "We need place to hide for the night! Have you got any ideas?"

Because I need to let you know what you're in for... Kyrian isn't going to go dow without a fight... She felt her heart break.

What had she got Albel into?

(Sorry Resa, been spending the last four days or so sobering the hell up.)

"I have a few ideas, but I get the feeling that no matter where we go, this thing is going to find us...Resa, when we get away we need to talk, this thing is just...I don't know what it is."

He still looked at Resa, is blade was still held firmly in his hands, Resa remained perfectly still.

"Go! Get your weapons and run! You know where I live, take the keys and get a move on, I'll catch up with you!" He barked.
Turning back towards the hole in the floor he looked around, chairs, tables and beer kegs were scattered everywhere, the door down to the cellar was held wide open.

He moved towards it, sprinting over and kicking it shut, he frantically piled up everything he could find against the door, whatever might be able to hold this thing back just long enough for them to both get out alive.

He edged back slowly, a low thumping noise came from behind the door, the demon was climbing up the stairs.

"What has she gotten me in to...Damn it." Albel thought to himself, turning to face her once more, he threw his door key towards her then gestured for her to run.

"Go, pack your stuff, neither of us will win this if we stay, better for me to stick around and give you a fighting chance of getting away..."

ResaMoon

*DJ Blow My Speakers Up*
"I just need my weapons." Resa replied. "I have my swords and my guns. Let's just go."

Resa made her way for the back door. As she ran, she could hear Kyrian screaming her name. "Damnit... He just doesn't know when to give up..."

"Albel, come on!" she yelled back. "Don't worry about him, just come on!"

Albel was caught off guard, the beast burst through the door sending several hundred pounds of debris flying across the bar. Albel span round, holding up his good arm in an attempt to protect himself from the bits of furniture flying at him, a bar stool clipped his arm, creating a rather loud popping noise, he dropped his blade, his hand going straight for his injured arm.

"Argh! Damn it...My arm."
He dropped to his knee, blood trickled from an open wound on his shoulder. Seeing Kyrian stomp towards him, Albel grabbed his sword, only to be greeted with a boot to the face, sending him flying across the room.

He was just barely conscious, the force of the kick had given him a concussion. He attempted to move, propping himself up, a shot of pain ran through his chest, the force of the impact must have broken his ribs.

Albel tried to stand, he legs still functioned, but just barely, he had to prop himself up against the wall to keep upright, he tried to move for the door, clumsily sheathing his sword he coughed up a few words.

"Okay...I think I'll listen to you this time."
