Well this was partly set to me by Razer (under my persuasion, lol) but ive been given a challenge to beat DMD, and max out every character on every DMC before the release of DMC4. So this is a journal to cover what I'm doing. Essentially to max them all out, save for S-Ranking (because I don't think thats doable in this time frame, and I don't even think I'm quite that good). So here it is.

I'll update often, so things that arent filled in will be soon.

Been working on Vergils DMD, just updated. Reach M14 but time for a break now. No real problems so far, I'm using Super Vergil which gives me a bit of an edge.

Thanks I'm hoping to beat Vergil's DMD tonight or tomorrow, and then I'll be working on Dante. Then its just a matter of cleaning up loose ends, and running through DMC2.

Beat Vergil's DMD! Whole thing was fine using Super Vergil, except for Arkham who was a nightmare! Did it first time but used looooads of Vital Stars :S

Anyway, so I've unlocked Super Corrupt Vergil (aka Nelo Angelo!)

Now to decide wether to max out Vergil's file next (Blue orbs, beating earlier modes etc) or to get Dante's DMD out of the way asap. Anyone have a preference?

Well I've decided to work on Dante. I thought I would start on Very Hard as to unlock Super Dante and beat DMD! as soon as possible, but since my Dante is still more or less at base stats (6 blocks of HP, no DT and no DA's aside from Rebellion) I have been doing various levels on different difficulties to build up my orbs and work on Dante. So far I've maxed out E&I, purchased Stinger and upgraded Shotgun to level 2.

I'm a little rusty (since I've gotten used to Vergil's style of fighting) but I'm sure I'll be making good progress soon enough. I'm done for today, but I'll be working on it tomorrow.

Well I'm currently up to M3 on Very Hard, but Love Planet is proving a challenge - so I've been continuing to work on various difficulties to make progress on them all (more or less evenly) and build up Dante's abilities. Purchased a couple of Blue Orbs for a bit of a HP boost, and I managed to beat DMD M1. I'll attempt DMD M2 at some point, but not sure I'm really ready for it.

Steady progress at the moment.

Made a bit more progress - reached M5 on Very Hard, but my Cerberus only had Revolver Lv1 so I quit the mission. I've levelled it to Revolver Lv2 now so I should be able to beat A&R now. Beaten M6 on Heaven or Hell, which has got me A&R and some more orbs.

I'm hoping to beat M7 on VH soon, so I can finally have access to DT.

Hmm, I hope so. Dante's DMD seems a much bigger task than with Vergil, I'm not sure if this is just me psyching myself out or what, but it just seems a lot more daunting :S Assuming I manage to beat it in decent time I think I should be able to run through DMC2 as well.

Just beat Nevan on VH, so one more level and I'll be half way to obtaining Super Dante. Got most of the weapons now, save for Beowulf and Kalina Ann. Looking forward to having Beowulf again, makes Vergil a lot easier, and is one of my favourite weapons.

Beat M10 on VH, so I'm up to M11, over half way I got up to Beowulf but I lost a few times so I'll go back and upgrade a bit before trying again.

I'm playing VH M18 with Dante right now, dreading Arkham next level.

Beat Very Hard with Dante and unlocked Super Dante today, and I beat DMD M2 as well. I'll update the main post on Monday, its much easier for me on weekdays

Damn I hate Geryon, but Vergil on mission 20 ****es me off more. Almost got a SS grade on that mission. Vergil had a little health left and do to my carelessness he killed me with one combo. I'm not touching another DMC game untill Devil May Cry 4 comes out.>_<

I'm ok with Vergil, I more or less have him down so I can beat him most of the time. Its Arkham I hate... ><

I'm up to M16 now... so I've got left

Lady (Can be easy, can be hard, seems to be on and off for me)
Doppelganger (Never liked it but if I'm patient I should be able to do it)
M18 - That chessboards looking scary, and the prospect of the boss section is scary, but at least I can pick and choose the ones I wanna fight (to a certain extent)
Arkham - Hate him, dreading it. Expect lots of items and bad rank. lol.
Vergil - Once Arkhams over I'll be satisfied. Vergils like the victory lap.

I'll update the main post in a few minutes, just gotta set up my PS2.
