Most unlikely game character pairings

This one silly fan fiction I'm writing got me thinking about this. What are some game characters that would make hilarious couples? Personally, I want to see Dante and Lightning try to get along. :lol: All their dates would probably consist of Lightning punching Dante and him not feeling it and laughing.

Samus Aran(Metroid)and Link(Legend of Zelda) in my opinion would be a funny pairing.I can just imagine Link seeing Samus's equipment and say "I start off my games with no weapons and this chick starts off with a lazer...nice Nintendo...really nice...".Also,due to the fact that Samus can speak while Link can only grunt.

Link:GAH!!!SEH!!!HOOOH!!!

Vergil( DMC3) and Riku ( FF X-2)(my favorite characters from those games) that would be really odd. Vergil is cold hearted and obsessed with power. and Riku is cheerful and doesn't really seems to have a goal or even the slightest idea what she is doing. while Vergil is fighting Dante Riku would just run around in the background doing something random.
