DMC Dante backlash was 'anticipated'

What they meant by "Walking the Design Back" is that basically this new Reboot/Retelling of Devil May Cry is being compared to "Casino Royale" in that Dante will start out looking like this and as he develops in terms of how driven the story is he'll start having the look and attitude we all know and love.

I'm skeptical how this will work out though but it remains to be seen.
